Kitchen facilities were amazing and open at all hours.

Triple bunk, on the top despite requesting the lower. No individual light.

- good location (near the bus station and metro station Angel) - nice and communicative staff - clean room and toilet/shower - hot water everywhere (sink, shower) - opportunity to heat something up downstairs/make tea - opportunity to eat pancakes for breakfast after 10 a.m.

- I had difficulties sleeping on the first night (the guests in the other room were too loud, the second night was OK) - Toilets and showers are upstairs, so some could find it tiring if you have to go up there every single time. Not a big deal at all I would say though. - The building seems a bit older, the key to entry the room was not always 100% reliable. However, the staff was always willing to help.

Only stayed for 1 night but first impressions were great! Staff were lovely, very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere, and lots of other like minded souls to meet and get to know. Fabulous kitchen with good facilities. Bathroom clean and showers had removable shower heads any clothes hung up in the cubicle remained dry.

Great location, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Big kitchen, big lockers in the bedrooms and comfortable beds. It was quiet to, although I was there mid January which I imagine is off peak due to the cold whether in London and it being after Christmas. I would definitely stay again, this is super convenient for me as I have friends and my workplace nearby. I don’t live near London, so being able to stay here at affordable price is great.

Only small things which aren’t a big deal really, and each hostel is different. You need to bring your own lock for the lockers and towel.

What went well - the Deputy Manager/ Weekend Manager Frederico was absolutely outstanding, professional and caring. 2 Volunteers were also absolutely wonderful and really friendly ; Cesar and Roberta. The location is absolutely superb - right in the heart of the City and just a short walk from Angel Tube Station. The showering facilities are superb, especcially on the 3rd floor and the cooking facilities, where you can cook your own food are first class. There is also a great Couch/ Recreation and TV area where you can watch all the Terrestrial Freeview TV which includes News and Movie Channels and also Netflix shows. It is also a place that people over 35 or 40 would feel very comfortable as it is not overwhelmed with young guests. It is also excellent value and I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone reading this report.

The big drawback with the Prime Angel Backpackers Hostel is the Manager ; Miss. Paulina Zielinska who was very rude to me and creates a very cold, icy and uncomfortable atmosphere. In my 6 weeks there She totally lost all control of discipline and management with the volunteers. The TV area is meant to be a communal area but when I first arrived it was commandeered by the Volunteers so guests could not sit down on the couches or watch TV. It certainly felt uncomfortable wanting to be in the TV area which is strange as the guests are the one paying for the Facility. Some long termers had problems with budbegs and She did not react or deal with the issue and did not care. She was very rarely on the Front desk and I never saw Her do any work. She was also incredibly rude to the Deputy Manager on many occasions. The morale of the Volunteers was at an all time low due to the bizarre, awkward and nasty personality of the Manager ; Paulina. The obvious lack of guests is testimony to How poorly her marketing/PR and management skills are as people are put of by this blatant arrogance and rudeness. She is without doubt the worst Manager of any Hostel I have ever been to in my years of visiting Hostels and I strongly and forcefully recommend to the Owner ; Mark to dismiss her ASAP and appoint a new Manager immediately as the place is superb and the Product offering is First class and it just needs a new person in charge to turn everything around. A Fish rots from the head down and in this case it is rotting because of the atroscious, appalling Manager ; Paulina who is destroying the place, The massive drop in bookings is evidence to how poorly she is running things. As if to top things off She emailed me this morning to say I cannot book again or extend my booking, making up spurious claims about guest complaints and me watching TV too much and having some food in bags rather than in the buckets. This is ridiculous and I will appeal this decision to Mark.

The location was fantastic. Our room was very clean. The whole place had great vibes Very helpful staff that were very accommodating with early check in and check out.

Prime was one of the cheapest accommodations on Booking.com at the time so I guess in that regard it was good value for money. However still veeeery expensive for what you get. The room was very small and we struggled to have bit of our suitcases in there. The bathrooms are in desperate need of updating with broken tiles on the floor making it not waterproof. There were signs on the walls asking guests to ensure there was no water on the ground as this could cause leaks to the floors below.
