Hotel has been getting more and more shabby over the last 5 years! The only thing it has going for itself now is the central location! Lifts were broken for 2 days out of our 5 day stay. For a 72 and 75 year old to have to use stairs to 4th floor is completely unacceptable. Daily rate for those 2 days should have been reduced by 50% to say the least!!!!

Great value for money, great breakfast and friendly helpful staff. A little kids corner which helped. Really enjoyed our stay here.

Hotel was clean. Breakfasts were excellent. Hotel’s location is conducive to being able to get to most places on foot. Staff was friendly, helpful, and for the most part spoke English. Masks were required in the hotel, but most employees were seen without, or improperly wearing masks.

We arrived and went to our room. The sink was stopped and would not drain. We were given a new room and moved. The new room had a half full trash can in the bathroom. We were offered another room but just ran with this one. Breakfasts at the restaurant were excellent. Parking in the on site garage was excellent. Due to construction road closures it was very difficult to get to the hotel - of course this wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

The hotel is in a great location. they offered a breakfast box for 12 euros which was too expensive. The hotel is old. My card reader on my door did not work the second day. So had to be escorted to have them use a master key. That was an inconvenience.

Our room had definitely seen better days and all looked a bit tired. Decor very dated, carpets very worn, almost shabby and walls could do with repainting or new wallpaper.Public areas are OK.

Issue with the check in process - somebody had already been checked into our room. This also led to additional expenses being presented to us (bar bill / car parking) on check out which we had to query

the front desk staff and restaurant/bar staff were all so helpful. Our bed was not the most comfortable, but it was safe and warm in our room.

The competency of the staff who make sure that you have a very pleasant stay. The rooms are quiet and clean

I was here for the weekend during a work trip. This was a nice Hilton, very close to the Saturday market and easy to walk to places. The bar area staff was very good. The breakfast was expensive (it looked delicious) but it is easy to walk to a cafe instead. Parking was very easy but pricey due to location.

Very friendly, multi lingual staff at reception. We were the only guests in the courtyard part of restaurant but chose not to sit down there because a man ( maybe one of staff?) sat smoking a cigar listening to news etc. on his cell loudly. Shame, it was a beautiful evening and restaurant too chilly

Well situated close to the railway station, clean rooms and good staff, so everything we wanted. Would recommend it for a short stay and stay again if we were in Mainz.

Good location in the center of Mainz. Breakfast was very expensive (continental 17.5 euro, regular breakfast 35 euro). Hotel is geared to serve business travellers and not tourists.

Overall the hotel is just fine. The location is fantastic and very easy to get-to using in-car GPS. My only complaint is that the internet access is 21 Euros for 24 hours, which is crazy. Why is it that a 2-star hotel will give away internet access while a 4-star will charge you an arm for it?
