Great pool and facilities

Marriot had alot to offer. Many places to eat at the hotel. 10 min walk to Gaslamp or a 5 min walk to Seaport Village. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The gym and pool were the highlight for me. Great location and great place. I've been to San Diego over a dozen times and this was definitely a treat! 10/10 recommend.

Everything is great

The only reason I’m not giving all 5 stars is due to them not being able to give me points for the stay. I booked through a vender to create a package. I honestly get my points every where else. I tried to call customer service and they could accommodate. There is a lot of nice nice things to say about this property. I loved my stay the location. And the convenience of the shore, gaslamp and being not far from La Jolla beach.

2 things for us. Our rooms beverage cooler (they didnt call it a fridge) didnt work and housekeeping didnt come until 5pm. We ended up just having to request towels and ask them to leave because we had to get ready for dinner. We were out of the room all day. Front desk said they had not made it up there yet. Otherwise staff and room were five star!

Great place to stay with family in downtown San Diego!

The property was very clean and the staff was friendly. There were several locations to eat on the property . We enjoyed the bar and the breakfast Buffett. The pool area was relaxing to read a book or watch over your family as they swim. There were plenty of lounge chairs and the pool was a nice size. The hotel location is in walking distance to Petco, bars/restaurants , or shopping. Overall a great experience . We will be back for sure .

We enjoyed our stay, if next time coming back will choose the same property to stay.

Excellent!

I wish I can say I loved the whole stay but I did not. My significant other and I went on a vacation for my birthday and experienced some very rude actions from parking staff. I called to report the incident to a manager and the front desk told me they were busy and I would get a call shortly. That never happened. The hotel also ran out of parking on our second night making us park further out although we paid for all day parking. The room and views were amazing but I did expect a bit more.

Well, overall, we really enjoyed our two night stay for my wife’s birthday. The room was excellent. The staff responded to my request for a room on the top floor overlooking the city. And that’s exactly what we got. We did not expect that they would comp our parking. They put in the notes, that we were coming for my wife’s birthday, and the front desk person at check-in did that for us. We thought that was fantastic and a wonderful gesture. It’s a great hotel. Lots of children and families taking advantage of the beautiful outside area and pools. my only complaint, was that on a couple of calls I made in the process of making the reservation, the operator was not very service oriented. She wasn’t rude, but she wasn’t helpful. When I called later, I spoke to a front desk person who was very helpful, but that first interaction With the phone operator at the hotel, made a bad first impression. Try to have every employee be equally excellent in their service. All the other employees we interacted with were. It was a short but very memorable stay. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks for the parking. That was a huge surprise.

The resort is Amazing, it will remind you of being in Hawaii. Several Bars and Restaurants with a Starbucks in the Hotel, thats a plus...

Three issues: First they were having the wrong room information. Later they checked some other system and they found the correct one. Later they were not allocating the high floor room. First they said it is not available and later after talking to the Manager, they found one. Not sure, why they were doing like this? Second, even though it was paid through Expedia, they didn’t have this information and blocked my Credit card for the whole amount plus Incidental charges. When I talked to them again after couple of days, they accepted their mistake. Three: No complimentary water in the room. They simply said refill water from the station. Other Hotels in the area provide the complimentary ones and for the following days they are suggesting to refill.

It was quite noisy. Our room was the the first one around the corner from the elevator and it was so loud. Woke up numerous times. The ac wasn’t great either. Asked for additional pillows that never came. Hotel parking lot was full so we had to park in the convention center lot. It was a very long walk and not great for someone who doesn’t get around well. I asked the front desk about the parking and he said the hotel lot fills up quickly and many guests have to park at the convention center. Overall, very disappointed. We did have a nice view of the marina.

Very good hotel

We really liked this hotel. We paid the extra for the room that was overlooking the marina. It was totally worth it. The room was clean. The customer service was great. We love that there was a Starbucks inside of the hotel. The pool was lovely and there were two hot tubs. There was easy walking access to outside restaurants, and shopping nearby. It is also pretty close to the Gaslamp district. The only thing I would say they could improve on is the valet service. Overall, though, I recommend this hotel.

Great place! Will be back for sure!!

I was supposed to get a $15/day credit when using on-site dining facilities. I dined on-site every day, but did not see the credit on my invoice which was emailed to me after checking out. That was disappointing. Guests beware.
