The hotel is wonderful, spacious, and timeless. We thoroughly enjoyed this property for many of the amenities it had to offer. However, unfortunately as of the writing of this review we did have jewelry go missing during a cleaning that still hasn't been rectified by the hotel. We would expect a hotel with this level of reputation to follow through on their promise to help us cure this issue and we're still hopeful for this to occur.

We want to congratulate the staff for the politeness and courtesy! They made our stay the most pleasant and relaxing. Food was fabulous. The atmosphere was infused with fragrance of flowers. What a charming, cozy place we found! Cheers!

Beautiful restored old hotel, great service

I think that the hotel might be too big as it is not that clean. Also service was disappointing. Our balcony was filthy was never mopped with soap, I had many issues with the room and the hotel appear to be more interested in grabbing money $47 a night to park a hired car, that is almost the price of a cheap hotel. They do, do somethings right but not enough to justify all the costs.

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are all genuinely sweet, and it’s a very relaxing place (not overly crowded). I could definitely go back.

Property is dated but they keep it really clean . It is crazy expensive . They get you on everything. The food there is terrible . The terrace and by the pool is terrible food . It is pre made and super expensive . The only good food is the Taproom or Royce where a drink starts at about 25 dollars . The spa is very good but again way overpriced. It is a beautiful landmark hotel but they just nail you with everything so you leave kinda feeling cheated out of money .

The Langham Pasadena resides in the coveted San Marino neighborhood of South Pasadena. This legendary hotel situated on 23 acres, has iconic architecture reminiscent of a by gone era, ie. 1914 when it was originally constructed. The hotel offers privacy, seclusion and sophtiscated accomodations to its guests. We adored the views overlooking the main lawn from Executive Room 1550. We experienced the Breakfast buffet and lunch daily at the Terrace. We cocktailed at the Royce. We did High Tea at the Tea Room. We enjoyed the Pools and Jacuzzi, morning coffee in the lobby, and the brisk morning strolls through the adjacent neighborhood. What an epic experience to stay here and be part of the legendary history of such a masterpiece. Thank you to the staff at all of the aforementioned venues/restaurants. Everyone was so delightful. This is a must stay accomodation when in Los Angeles.

Beautiful property, room is outdated

The Langham is one of the most elegant and comfortable hotels in the area it offers great gardens to walk around, variety of restaurants to chose from and great pools for the day. I try to book this hotel every two months to get away from the stress of work and city.

beautiful resort with swimming pools, nice garden, easy to get into Huntington Library, Cal Tech, etc. Valet Parking staff is helpful, friendly. Enjoyed our stay, will come back again.

I had high hopes for the Langham since I’d been there 6 months earlier and it was beautiful. Check- in was good and they upgraded our room but then it was downhill from there. The new pool was super crowded and not nearly enough people working. No towels & dirty towels overflowing. It took so long to get drinks, like over 30 minutes, and my frozee was melted by the time I got it. Our bedroom door didn’t lock but they did have someone fix it while we were at dinner. No conditioner in the container and instead filled with watered down shampoo - not cool. There’s only one place for breakfast and it was nearly an hour wait. Then we had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to take our order. Then at checkout there was only 1 person working and like 10 people in line. It took nearly another 20 minutes to get our car. Truthfully, it was pretty disappointing especially since it wasn’t cheap. They need to do a much better job with service, have more people working and figure out how to provide another option for breakfast.

We stay at the Langham because we loved this place, we have visited many of their locations and always had a great experience, but not this time, when we arrived at 12:00PM the line to check in was so long and there was only 2 people manning the front desk, so we decided that since we were early we would go grab a quick bite and walk around downtown Pasadena. we came back around 2:30 and the line was still super long but now there were 3 people working, so we waited and they said our room was not ready, so we decided to walk around the property looking for a bar or restaurant that we could grab a drink while we waited, all the bars and restaurants were closed except for the pool bar, which was full and had a long line as well. The pool was completely at capacity and there was really nowhere in the resort where you would just sit down and relax to wait for your room. at 3:30 I went to check if our room was ready and they said no, but the manager said that the only room available was on the third floor of the building where the elevator was not working we were only staying for 1 night so we took the room, he also offer a 100.00 credit for breakfast, the room assigned was so old, Toilet sit cover broken, the bathroom counter tops where stained, and the construction trailer was right behind us they started working at 7AM and we couldn't even open our curtains because there were so many man working right outside our window. (I have pictures) Very Disappointing.

No shopping or convenient store onsite

Everything was great, except the pool was way too crowded. Took us over two hours to get our food. Seemed like the property wasn’t ready for the Fourth of July rush. But the Langham is lovely and regardless would stay again.

It felt like I was staying in Europe - very classy and elegant. Every staff member was polite and helpful.

The hotel still has the best service. It’s dated and can use some improvements. However the grounds are incredibly beautiful and the views are breathtaking

Perfect for a one night stay near downtown Los Angeles/Keck Medical Center. Everyone at this hotel was great! Cheerful front desk staff, upgraded room, pool staff helpful and fun, valets prompt, room was clean and had everything we needed including robes, large bath, very comfy bed/linens, beautiful view.

Everything is impeccable: from room cleanliness, hospitality and smiling faces, made the stay at the langham a truly memorable one !
