Booked a room with one double bed but what i received was 2 beds moved close to eachother. Hotel restaurant only has few dinner choices and was closed every Sunday. Tablet to order room service or call reception also broken, had to go to reception to order room service when restaurant was full and only choice was to eat in the room. Overall for the price i paid per night not worth it.

First the positives: nice room, good pillows and comfortable bed, location dubious and a bit run down, view from the window was on a back street. Uncovered parking was in a rather derelict place but close to the hotel. They wanted €10 per day for that but offered no security on the premises except a bar gate for the cars entering or leaving which was a bit of a joke as I had to ring the hotel to get them to open the bar gate as no one answered the call system. Negatives: One big one, on the second day the room was not made up, and, therefore there were no clean towels etc. The receptionist at the time blamed it on Covid-19. However, my neighbour had her room made up. When I complained in the morning, the new receptionist seemed rather taken aback and waived the parking fee - it was a farce really - so overall pretty disappointing.

There were many mosquitoes in the room and I need to use insects killer midnight.

Great place! Quiet, comfortable, yet a few minutes walk away from the old town. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was really good and varied. The views on the Elbe river are wonderful, although not all the room options have a view on the river.

No water provides at gym room. Room guest has to pay for steam and sauna .

The hotel was lovely, clean and close enough to the center of Meissen.

Our stay at the Dorint Hotel was great. The staff was super friendly at check-in and breakfast. They even gave us a teddy bear for my little daughter. We also had a baby bed in the room, which was a really nice one rather than one of the fold away travel ones - much more comfortable for my daughter. The view from the hotel is also amazing.

Convenient location. Friendly courteous staff

A very clean and freshly appointed hotel with friendly staff and a good breakfast selection come the morning. The hotel is not in the "old" town, although the town center is only a short walk across the bridge, and the view of the Elbe more than compensates. One small fly in the ointment is that they charge a ( small ) fee to use the health club facilities, which seemed to me a little penny pinching and unnecessary. Overall though, a very pleasant place to stay and I certainly recommend it.

This hotel was beautiful and clean, it was more than expected.We could not find any suitable restaurant in Meißen,so we decided to have dinner at hotel. And it was surprisingly tasty French, we are very satisfied staying there.

Situated right at the Elbe river bank, the hotel offers a nice view of the Meißen castle. Good combination of historic building with restaurant and new guest house.

Visiting Friends - Great view of the Castle, right on the Elbe river! Easy to walk into the town. Close to shops and cafes.

Nice located hotel directly opposite of the Albrechtburg at river Elbe. Room was clean and with comfortable beds. Expensive parking lot outdoors. Unfriendly staff at checkout.

The hotel is really beautiful and in a great location overlooking the castle. The restaurant is impressive. However, the pictures just show one part of the hotel, as many rooms are actually located in a separate building on the back, with no views. I would still recommend it, although you should know what to expect.

Nice walk from hotel to interesting town. Dinner with a beautiful view over river and towars town. Food good and interesting. Bedrooms a little dated and needs better lighting.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights during a recent trip through Germany and Czech Republic. We wanted to visit Dresden, but preferred staying in a smaller town. The Welcome Parkhotel is located on the banks of the Elbe River in Meissen, which is about 30 min from Dresden by car. Meissen is a beautiful, classically German town with a castle on a hilltop and cobblestone streets lined with historic buildings. Welcome Parkhotel offers on-site parking and has a decent restaurant, especially the buffet-style breakfast with delicious German delicacies. Dinner choices included authentic regional food and local wines; our only quibble was that service was slow (but maybe that's just the local culture). The room was very comfortably appointed. One note - to get from reception to many of the rooms, you must take an elevator down to the lowest level, cross over to a different building through a passageway under construction, and then up another elevator, which might be an issue for guests with mobility limitations. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience!
