I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean and the service was friendly. No fault of the hotels because I understand that ovens need to get cleaned at in the middle of the night is the best time to do that but when I woke uo hungry in the middle of the night, I was a little disappointed that I couldnt get a pizza from the lobby. I do totally underatand though! I have zero complaints with my stay. It was wonderful.

The one bedroom was great. Room was clean and spacious. Desk staff on check in was good, made it easy.
We misread the breakfast hours and were literally told to leave the dining room as we had not finished eating when the breakfast time was over. Seemed a bit harsh. Other than that our stay was pleasant.

The room was nice but it didn't seem like it had been vacuumed because the carpet was dirty. There were no plates at breakfast Sunday morning because the dirty dish pile was overflowing. Otherwise it was a good place to stay. They also had complimentary cookies every evening.

Couldn’t bring any food or beverage into pool area. I understand the food, but not being able to sit and have a drink or beer after being in the hot sun was very disappointing. Also they had a sign on the pool door that said they would charge your room 200.00 if you were caught with a beverage in the pool area.
The breakfast was also not good at all. The eggs were awful.
Our fridge in our room wasn’t working and when I called down to the front desk they said they didn’t know what they could do about it.
We paid over 500.00 for the weekend and were extremely disappointed.

I lost my wallet in the parking lot. Very unsettling. It was turned in to the front desk by one of the employees with all the cash in it. Wow! So blessed to know there good people there! Saved a great weekend in Detroit Lakes. All the staff were top notch courteous, efficient and professional!

Room was booked with roll in shower but had tub wall to step over to get in for shower, I have MS and at times legs are weaker and not as stable. I did ask in case I got wrong room and they said they thought it was a roll in shower, but I said I should be fine.

Hotel is ok. Very bare bones, I’m not sure if they are selling the hotel or just bought it. Check in staff was hard to hear when asking questions. Only Staff we saw after that was there cleaning the rooms upon departure. Agreed it was a holiday weekend but! Managers door was closed most times. Breakfast area left a lot to be desired! Sausage was cold and egg omelettes were fair. Granted we were there around 9ish but no one was around to clean or make sure there was adequate food. We had to looked around to find the coffee and is was in the lobby. We weren’t impressed!
Not sure we would make a repeat visit and we go to DL frequently.

We have stayed here for years and have always enjoyed our time there. Our biggest issue was with the room. Our pillow case was stained, the bed was made with a top sheet instead of a spread, the shower curtain kept falling down, and the inside main curtain was missing. We also had nowhere to gather, as the party / breakfast rooms were closed off. There was no place to sit in the room except the desk chair. No elevator to the second floor. The breakfast was very plain and packaged and no place to recycle.

The service was friendly and helpful. The room looked decent, then we saw the bread or a bun ground into the carpet next to the table (a big piece). We were tired so we decided to ignore it and just relax. The next morning I was wanting to make coffee in the room and found old coffee in the decanter-gross! Brought it to the front and they apologized and traded it out for a new decanter. Breakfast was good and check out was quick .

The staff was very friendly. Beds were not that comfortable and the pillows really sucked. Breakfast was good. It was an ok stay for 1 day. Don't know if we could have stayed longer and we didn't really have a good nights sleep.
