One night stay, comfortable enough room, decent breakfast. The hotel interior was noticeably dark. The internet was down the whole time and this girl’s softball team made it impossible for my boys to swim or use the fitness center they wouldn’t stop harassing them. When the pool was available the next day it was closed for maintenance so my boys were bummed they couldn’t swim. I had to take them to a water park nearby to satiate their need to swim.

The linens were clean. But the floor by the the AC unit was soaking wet and remained that way for the 2 days I was there, When I informed the front desk they said they would send someone up. No one ever showed. I was extrememly disappointed that I was not offered a change of room or a discount. You could see previous water damage on the wall as the paint or wall paper was peeling/drooping.

It was a little tricky getting to it as it is tucked behind and surrounded by other hotels. Appliances in the room didn't work properly.

The rooms are a very poorly updated, the breakfast was not very filling. The elevator was scary slow

We booked two rooms. When we went back to our rooms, one was clean and the other was still in the process of being turned over. It looked like housekeeping had started the room turniver and just left it half done. The door was open, not latched as it should have been.

Flashback to the 80’s. Don’t think anything has been updated since. Vent in bathroom had years of dust. Ceiling in shower peeling. Carpets and furnishings are very old. Bed was comfy. Breakfast in the morning seemed fine, but we opted to dine out. Wasn’t a very clean place overall. We needed a place to stay after a concert and had booked this 7 months in advance. For $168 for one night, we’d go elsewhere next time. When I think of Country Inn and Suites, this doesn’t live up to the standard we’ve experienced at others.

Could use some updating. Carpet in the room had stains all over it.

The Rooom was clean. The staff we encountered were friendly. The breakfast area was well stocked and clean. We did not use the pool.

Strange noise about 4 am from the hall way. I couldn't understand the words but it sounded like it was coming over a PA system. Very strange.

The nearby pond was a nice touch! However, we had mold growing around the vent in the bathroom. There also appreared to be red spots resembling blood drops on the carpet. When we mentioned it to the front desk, we were told they would look at it.

The person at the desk was excellent. We asked for a room on the top floor and she worked to find one.

Location was great

Stay was part of a two day conference in Ankeny, IA. Overall, the staff is very welcoming and friendly, however, the hotel needs some updates and renovations.

Quiet close doors meant no slamming doors at night! Loved that with kids sleeping.

Hotel is a little dated, but appeared clean.

Hot tub dirty then then refilled it and chemicals turned suits white. Breakfast never changes. They don’t keep food filled. Staff play on phones in office. Pop machine is broke No milk for cereal. What happened at this place. Breakfast used to be good

The hotel is very nice and located in a great location. The staff is friendly and work hard to make your stay comfortable and hassle free. Our room was nice but a few small issues: 1. Hair blow dryer did not work. 2. One of the dresser drawers would not stay closed so we taped it shut.

I will stay here again. Was happy with the room size, the room and building seemed clean, staff was friendly, and a good rate. Could have had more options for breakfast, but wasn't bad. Hot tub was nice but could have been a bit warmer. But was a great 2 night stay.

My husband and I arrived at the front desk check in and two women were behind it. They were having their own conversation and we were the only guests in the lobby. They continued to talk with each other for about five minutes before making eye contact or even acknowledging us with a simple “hello.” Finally after we were checked in we made our way to our room. On the way to the room the carpets were soaking wet in places, stained, and smelled moldy. Once in the room we noticed black hairs all over the bathroom floor and the bottom of the shower didn’t look like it had been cleaned. The bed was terribly uncomfortable. We made it to the hot tub at about 1130 pm. It was warm at best, had a greenish color, and smelled like pond water. We only stayed a couple minutes. I think this hotel could be a lot better if a little bit of care/love was put into it. We definitely won’t be staying again.

Squeaky floors from neighbor above and loud fan on heater made it hard to fall asleep on the average bed with small thin pillows. Continental breakfast was good enough.

We were traveling and stopped there for a night.
