Homeless problem is huge around the property and in down town area in general

Overall was a nice stay, the valet only option for 65 dollars is kinda a bummer but that’s the only negative thing. Everything else was very nice with our stay.

My family’s overall experience was good, but there were some issues with our stay that just seemed to be the result of lack of attention to detail and poor training. Our room was comfortable, but some of the furniture had scuffs and signs of wear. There was painters tape left on the bathroom wall from obvious repairs. There was a dirty sock left behind by the previous guest, and scotch tape stuck to the walls and ceiling which appeared to from hanging party decorations. We attempted to get new towels and sheets on two different occasions each time requiring multiple reminder calls to the front desk and housekeeping. The staff was very friendly, but again maybe not the most attentive the cleanliness of the rooms or to following through on guest requests.

I liked how close it was to everything I needed; the team, the stadium, the night life, dinning.

I came for a writing conference. The organizers of the conference were not very responsive and never extended the room block so many of us had to book alternately. This came into play later when we could not get the promised discounted parking or other conference perks Parking is $$$$$ super pricey. Being in gaslamp quarter is great if you’re taking in a baseball game or you’re really into the bar scene - but it also makes for a noisy night if you happen to have a room with street facing windows. My room faced lofts or something and some guys car alarm went off all weekend long. All.weekend.long. The hotel though is gorgeous they are very very responsive (via text that they send you as soon as you check in) and everyone from front desk to restaurant waiters and bar tenders are top notch. Parking and the valets is what moved this from a 5 to a 4. Being we were at a convention we all had very very full trunks and such and I received zero assistance either taking anything out of my car (maybe this is a CA thing it is a litigious state) or bringing it into the hotel. It also took me forever to track down someone to check my car in as well as when I wanted my car retrieved despite the scan / qr they give you for “quick service” so the hotel is good the valet - meh

Basic, clean, very average, excellent location, totally overpriced. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

We chose the Hilton Gaslamp due to its location near the baseball stadium and tons of dining options. The staff members will helpful and seemed to care about our experience. The morning breakfast was high in quality.

The best part of the hotel was the prime location to Petco park and gaslamp quarter for people (me)that like to walk without the hassle of having a car.

Great stay. This was a very clean hotel and in close proximity to petco park and gaslamp area.

Our room was nice and clean. I booked a double bed room. When we got to our room it was a king size suite, front desk did not notify me that they changed our room. Then when we had to convert the couch into a bed there were no extra sheets/blankets in the room.

A nice contrast to the mega-convention hotels, the Hilton Gaslamp has the feel of a boutique hotel. Pleasant staff. Nice little outdoor pool. Convenient location

Requested early check in at around 2pm and they said I’d get text as soon as room was ready, but text didn’t come until 4pm when normal check in starts. I find it hard to believe zero rooms were ready until the exact moment normal check in begins. Additionally the shower would not get very hot except for one time. I don’t know why but even running for 15 minutes it would usually not get above lukewarm. Not terrible, but I expected more from a Hilton

It is close to the airport and lots of great sights.

The room was perfect. Clean and cleaning service was on point.

Very friendly staff. We arrived prior to check-in and they were able to provide an early check-in. It was Easter weekend and the hotel was having a fun Easter egg hunt with eggs hidden around the hotel. We were there for a Padres game and it was the perfect location with an easy walk to and from the stadium.

This is a great location, across the street from the convention center (where my event was held) and right in the Gaslamp Quarter area with many restaurants nearby. My room was on the train/trolley side of the hotel - I was surprised that the noise was not bad. Except there was one night the train was running for about an hour between 8 pm - 9 pm parking, which was slightly annoying - nothing the hotel can avoid, but if that will be a deal breaker for you, request not to be on that side of the hotel. I'd still stay in the room I was in. The rest of the nights were just fine, and I liked the view from that side of the hotel. Breakfast is great in the Wild Hare! I used my $25 food credit on that. They have fresh OJ, which is so delicious, and they have great coffee. I was not a fan of the dinner options, but it's San Diego, so I'm usually out eating great Mexican food anyway.

Have stayed here several times and loved the upgrades they have done. Great location walkable to all the fun stops.

Room was nice but not spotless when we entered.We were safe but homeless people were by the hotel from time to time. In a nice part of town for food and entertainment. Service was excellent and housekeeping staff were very friendly and cooperative in meeting our needs

Great place. Downstairs bar was really cool. If parking was a little more affordable it’d be a perfect steal. Really, parking is expensive everywhere down there though. All in all great spot!
