Easy check in and clerk was very helpful. Our room was by a side door which made parking simple. Breakfast could have had a few more options. Only orange juice and water were available the two days we were there. It’s located at the end of town which I’m sure would make it quiet during the busy summer months.

We stayed a week as our home base for exploring South Dakota. The location in Custer is convenient for exploring the Black Hills region. The hotel met our needs overall. Breakfast was good and kept well stocked each day. Typical hotel fare but good to get the day started. Front desk staff was courteous but not super friendly. The room seemed a bit tired and in need of updates. The lighting in both the room and bathroom is not very bright and could be improved. The bathroom fan is not sufficient and the bathroom steams up way too much. Had to use the blow dryer to try to dry the mirror every day. However, the water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Maid service was hit or miss. They completely missed one day and we had to go to the desk to get toilet paper and other necessities. Other days they left dirty towels and other days were good. There aren’t many options in Custer so I would probably still stay here again if in the area. The price is a fair value. There is a competing hotel chain next door that was almost twice as much. Hubby and I joked about whether the grass was greener over there. But ultimately we decided probably not. Or certainly not worth almost double the money. Overall a decent stay and just a few small improvements would bump the rating from average to good.

We checked in late. The front desk person was very helpful and friendly. The room was large and clean. Breakfast area had plenty of sitting and was good. Didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked big and clean.

Recently upgraded, and oh so nice. Clean room, decent food, friendly service. Pillows are always a big hit or miss. They offered firm and soft pillows on each bed. Very comfortable.

Very clean, guest service was very sweet on any needs i may have needed. Breakfast was very good & kept clean!! The only thing may need addressed was other guest was bringing alcohol into the pool area and drinking in the hot tub. Which was no employees fault.

This is a wonderful place to stay at while in Custer. Everything is clean and the breakfast is great. Beds are comfortable and the staff was so helpful. We also enjoyed the mini golf right next door.

Pro's - beds were comfy, breakfast buffet, laundry facility, indoor pool and Jacuzzi.
Con's - indoor pool wasn't heated and was pretty cold when we jumped in. Gentlemen at the front desk that checked us in was not very personable. He wasn't rude or anything just all business.

This was a pretty good hotel. The pool was good but there was a loud constant banging sound from the HVAC. The room was a bit dated but very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with lots of options.

In a quiet locate at the west end of Custer City. It is not walkable to the main area of town, but we never had any problem finding a parking space. It is very close to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Needles Hwy, Wind Cave etc. Room was spacious. Hotel offered a good free breakfast
