We had a great stay at this hotel! It’s very conveniently located, either a short walk or a short Metro ride to most of the places we visited. And the rooftop pool and bar were lovely and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Check-in process was bad, room wasn’t ready after 3pm. Had to wait longer, asked for a higher floor but with two double beds as that’s what we booked but there wasn’t room available at a higher floor. Ended up in a room on the 3rd floor with tiny window. Stay in the room was very depressing. Rooftop was nice.

So Ive never written a negative review but I had an ant infestation in my room the last night of my stay, it was very unfortunate as there were ants all over the bathroom. Also had cigarette smoke smell coming in the AC vent in the mornings.

Given the prices they charge, I felt the room was too expensive. The furniture was really old, and the room didn't look like anything the photos. I was really disappointed since I had stayed at other NH Collection hotels, and this one wasn't on the same level.
On the positive side, the hotel is in an excellent location and the staff was great.

On checking out today I questioned being charged tourist tax for a 15 year old when the hotels.com says not chargeable for children. Hotel insisted the charge stands and wouldn’t budge. Really disgusted and it’s 5 star in name only,… service is not outstanding, we waited 40 minutes for food by the pool. The exterior room view was a wall. Avoid as it’s not 5 star and dishonest charging tourist tax for children.

It’s definitely not a 5 star. We didn’t get our room till 4:30 when check in is 3pm, don’t need alcohol vouchers , I need my bed. air conditioning in our room was broken for 2 days, too pricey for what it’s worth. Only has good roof top but that’s it. There are better,

We had a great stay of a few nights at the NH Collection Gran Calderon. It was great to be so centrally located, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the rooftop pool and the rooms were comfortable and clean. Highly recommend!

Staff, staff, staff were so pleasant, professional and welcoming! When i go back, and i will, i wouldn't consider another hotel. Rooftop pool and night life and proximity to beach, Medieval and EVERYTHING Gaudi is a stonethrow away.

This was a very last minute booking after a bad experience at another hotel. The NH was a vast improvement, although we had a couple maintenance issues—a broken shower head and some AC problems. Would’ve loved a king bed and a door separating the bathroom from the room, but at least everything was spacious and comfortable. A note on housekeeping: there were several days where we left the hotel for many hours, only to find no one had made up the room while we were gone.

Overall this was a fantastic experience, 5/5 all around. The front desk and lobby staff really shined. They were so helpful! My only advice if you’re staying is to bring/buy shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. I found the products supplied by the hotel to be harsh and stripping. But there’s two grocery stores on the same block and pharmacies everywhere!

Modern and clean hotel in the prime location surrounded by shopping and tons of dinning options. Walking distance to many major attractions. Nice clean rooms (cleaned twice a day) with all necessary amenities and beautiful views. Friendly, accommodating staff, were happy to get us checked in early after a long flight. One of the best rooftops with spacious pool, indoor/outdoor bar that had great drinks, hip music and amazing 360 views of Barcelona. Highly recommend!
