We had a great one night stay at the Mineral Palace. The hotel is right in the middle of the action on the Main Street. We were upgraded to a VIP room which had a jet tub, balcony, and some other nice amenities. The guys working the door and valet parking are super nice and helpful. The towels were soft and the bed was very comfortable. We were there a little off season during the week and the town and hotel was pretty quiet.

When they say check in at 3pm they mean it. They will keep your luggage behind the desk. Room was clean bed comfortable.

The hotel and rooms were good and clean and great location right on the touristic Deadwood street. The valet service staff was great but front desk staff needs better customer service training. Both at check in and checkout the women seemed annoyed to be there.

Definitely an older hotel but was nicely located on Main Street in Deadwood and close to activity. It worked out for our 1 night stay and the discount at the restaurant and free mimosas were nice for breakfast. Room was clean and hotel was receptive to ADA requests!

When we checked in, the registration clerk said "they" had over booked the 2 queen bed rooms and the only thing they had available was a VIP suite with 1 king bed or a smoking room with 2 queen bedd. We are a family of 4 so had to take the smoking room. The room was clean, but smelled like an ashtray. Disappointed. Also we were on the first floor right on main Street and the noise of very loud vehicles woke us up several times. The staff was wonderful about giving us a ride to the rodeo grounds and picking us back up so we didn't have to drive.

The room was not clean. The beds were made but looked like the covers were just pulled over after the last guest. No toilet paper. Facility dated. Coughed all morning from dust mites

Staff at front desk wasn’t friendly and made us feel as we were a burden. When asking a question we were referred to someone else. On the other hand The casino staff was amazing. Our car was damaged while parked in their garage. We are awaiting help with that.

Jordan in housekeeping went above and beyond to help us get in our room early. We had a wedding to be at and after being up since 5 am and driving 6 hours we were in need to freshen up and get ready . But we were told our room wasn’t ready . Jordan took the extra step and and checked our room to sign off of it so we could get checked in . We were so appreciative .

The front desk folks are not the most friendly. When we checked in, it was fine, they called for the valet to get us parked, but then you learn that access to your car later can be a problem. Plus, if you leave and come back later in the evening, the valet is gone and all that’s available is overflow parking, which is blocks away. Street parking is restricted, or is pay by meter. The room itself was okay, but the Gem restaurant was lackluster in service as well. The whole operation is poorly staffed.

This is a great place to stay. The valet Kelly is the best! Have some giant pancakes at the Gem and ask for Jenny. Staff is what makes a place great. They sure did!

The check in experience could have been better. The hotel tried to charge us double tax. All we got was sighs and annoyance to fix it. Never a thank you for staying with us.
