It was a very clean and nice room. The owners are very nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Cute room, King size bed is comprized of two mattresses put together so sleeping in the middle can get you sore after a bit. There is a small refrigerator that also turns on every 15 minutes that is located right next to the bed so it might wake you up at night like it did me. Good space for parking. Overall the room was a great location and gave us a roof over our head after a long day of fishing.

The overall appearance and comfort was exceptional. Only thing I didn’t like was that, with my schedule, I couldn’t stay another few days.

The Pioneer Inn was a perfect place to rest my family’s heads for the evening after a great couple of days in Homer. There were three beds, a kitchen, and a little tv sitting area. The view from the second floor room was amazing.

Older building, but plenty of space for a small family to sleep on vacation for a reasonable price in today’s economy. Enjoyed the self check-in.

This was a true hidden gem. I've been on the road traveling for close to four months, and this is hands-down my favorite landing spot. It is family-owned, and Lila goes above and beyond to accommodate and make a person feel welcome. A more genuine and upbeat person you will not likely meet. The rooms have a multitude of little touches that make it more like "home" than just another hotel -- from the soft, quality toilet paper (!) to the plush bath towels, the container of coffee and blackout curtains, the cleanliness, and I will mention once again, how NICE and helpful the owner is! Also, the location is perfect, and quiet. Best of all, the owners keep the rates reasonable when they could easily rate-gouge, given how nice this Inn is.

We had an amazing time in this room! It was cozy, warm, and had everything we needed. In addition, the view was incredible and it was close to all the nearby eating places in Homer. The Pioneer Inn truly felt like home from home. Lila, the host, had thought of everything and more. I highly recommend staying at the Pioneer Inn.

There's a great art store and a small museum next door. The staff checked in throughout our stay to make sure we had whatever we needed and to make sure we found good things to do and food to eat. Easy check-in and check-out. We highly recommend!

The owner, Lila, was unbelievably helpful and kind. The room was decorated beautifully, even had an Alaska mountain shower curtain. Great stay!

Lila is wonderful and incredibly accommodating and attentive to her guests. Room, although small, contained everything needed for making our stay very comfortable. I would recommend to anyone seeking a quiet and comfy place to stay while in Homer.

The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. Check-in was a bit unusual, but the staff was great. They answered my call quickly and let me know exactly how to access my room. As soon as my room was clean, they texted me to let me know. I appreciated being able to drop my things off and be on my way. This is not a glamorous, upscale boutique hotel. It was clean, friendly and the location was perfect. I would stay here again.

What a wonderful location, it's close to restaurants, the spit, and hiking trails. It even had a moose in the parking lot.

We had a wonderful stay at Pioneer Inn Downtown. Perfect location, it was easy to park, to walk to restaurants, Bishop's Beach Park, and to a local playground. The room was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. Beautiful views and great outdoor space for our kids. Lila was so welcoming and even had toys ready for our children. Thank you so much Lila, we hope we will be back in the future!

The Pioneer Inn is a nice and convenient place to stay at in Homer, AK. This is a family owned hotel and the service was fantastic. Easy parking, great area of town, quiet, and some beautiful views of Kachemak Bay. The owner(Lila) has great recommendations for where to eat and explore in Homer. I enjoyed my three night stay at the Pioneer Inn. I hope to be again next year!

We had a relaxed stay. Lila was an amazing hostess who responded quickly to questions and texts. Our room was clean and well supplied. The flowers around the inn were lovely, and it has a gorgeous view of the Bay. It is a location close to many shops and restaurants.

We recently had a great stay at the Pioneer Inn. Our room was very clean and had a nice, well stocked kitchen. The day of our arrival the owner communicated with us to let us know when the room would be ready. She checked in with us after our arrival to see if we needed anything. I would definitely stay there again.

The view was amazing and the owner went out of her way to help us plan our best vacation. The room was great and had a small well stocked kitchen and full cable. Walk to restaurants and the beach.
