It's not fancy, but clean and comfortable. The lodge is off the beaten path in a wooded setting which is great.

The property was out of the way. It was quiet. Easy to get to.

The property is clean and well organized. I forgot something in the room and they were kind enough to ship it back to my home!

Great game room. We stayed for the 4th July. There is lots to do in the area, White horse Lodge is close to everything.

We reserved the lodge last min on our drive up from Virginia, for two nights unfortunately we were delayed due to weather and traffic so I called the lodge to let them know we needed to stop and stay elsewhere and was told no worries at all be safe and will see you tomorrow, very friendly and supportive. The next day we continued our drive and finally arrived to the lodge around 7pm the 2nd night. We were exhausted and went straight to sleep. The next morning we checked out, later that day we see our charges were for two nights stay, never once was it mentioned that we would be charged for both nights. When I questioned the charge I was told in a very short response well we have a 30day cancellation policy. So I made a reservation 2days prior and never was the policy mentioned throughout our conversation so please be very careful when reserving at this lodge, things were very misleading😔

The experience was good and in a remote hill top and access way to ski areas. The app I was not able to download and had a little trouble figuring out where to find food (take out) from nearby restaurants and there was no printed guide to the area. The setting was nice. But I never met anyone from the inn which was a different experience than I am used to. Otherwise everything worked fine. And check out via text was perfect. I would go back again.

We only stayed 1 night, but it was clean, quiet & complimentary coffee/tea downstairs was nice. The parking was a bit limited & it was a bit dark if you are arriving at night. We didn’t see any staff, but staff were checking in via text after hours. We would stay again!

Quick drive into town for restaurants and shopping. Quiet place. The rooms are small but the bed was comfortable and it was suitable for what we needed. If you're looking to hang out in your room, it will probably be a bit small for that but the common areas are really nice. We would absolutely stay again.

We chose White Horse Lodge because it was in the path of the total solar eclipse in April 2024. While the rooms are best described as basic, the fireplace lounge, breakfast room (with shared fridge, free coffee, and microwave), and game room provided lovely communal spaces. The hotel does not serve breakfast. Communication through text was efficient and effective. Any questions I had were answered immediately. Dana baked special eclipse cookies for the event and graciously shared the recipe with us! The staff made sure to make eclipse viewing convenient for everyone, including ensuring that automatic lights were turned off and there were a variety of seating areas available, even during mud season.

This property was clean, inviting, and comfortable. The staff replied to all of my many questions quickly and friendly. We only stayed 1 night, but I will go back for a longer stay.

The location was great for those skiing Sugar Bush and Mad River Glen. The resort had ample parking, the rooms are a bit small but vey clean, The only thing missing was a private fridge in the room, but the shared fridge was very clean and the staff were very nice.

Easy check in and check out. Cleanliness was excellent. Room was not spacious, but the lodge areas are open and inviting, you spend a lot of time there. A quiet place to stay, centered to ski areas and Waitsfield. Very convenient.

Great stay at the White Horse Lodge. The owner wasn’t present but communicated via text effectively. 24/7 free coffee/tea, I definitely liked that. No breakfast included so be sure to bring some morning snacks to have with your coffee before heading for the slopes!

I like how organized this spot is. Everything is thoughts out down to the little things. I like how clean and updated it is as well. Being that you’re in a small town I would say it’s very good for a one or two night stay. Exceeded expectations!

It clean and close to the mountain. They do not have staff at the hotel. It snowed one night and a plow truck did not arrive until 10am, making me late for the event that signed up (and paid for, the reason why I was there). No one at the hotel was able to leave. Other guest at the hotel shoveled the common area, no one from the hotel helped with the situation at all. Would not recommend for a winter stay if you have any sort of schedule.

The hotel location was excellent as a base for our travel plans. There are two things that you get a low rating on: 1. No real fire in the fireplace. 2. The photos did not reflect the facility. We had expected a little something.

Very quiet and clean. Stacy was wonderful during check-in. Would not hesitate to come back again.
