Checking was efficient, even with social distancing in place. We stayed in a comfort room, which was well equipped, &well kept. The balcony was roomy enough to sit out on , it overlooks the courtyard when there are some of the restaurants tables, and the back gardens of other blocks in the square. Decent sized mugs for making a cup of tea (not little espresso cups), only downside is they only provided coffee creamer not milk. There is a convenience shop around the corner and the room does have a fridge -so one carton was adequate for our stay. It situated in a quiet residential area, so not much nearby , but the tram line is only a block away, and they provide a pass for public transport that lasts for the duration of your stay. So not much problem there. We will definitely return as its not to far from where some our family live, so making a convenient base to stay when we visit.

The staffs were very friendly, the rooms are simple with wood style from the 90's and quite comfortable. Nothing special but very clean space and nice staff service. We visited during corona time and they were quite satisfying and well prepared. Recommend

Terrible system and outdated. Their network system regarding booking and payment was totally broken, so they asked me paid again because they couldn’t find payment history by computer and payment book. Even though i already paid the fee by hotels.com, I had to pay again because my flight was too soon to departure. After getting back home, i collected all bills and evidences to proof my double payment. However, this hotel still keep saying that their computer system is still broken. It’s been more than 2weeks, and I don’t think they will going to fix it forever. I will find all way to get my money back, when you are having nice(?) Christmas season with your family. Sounds wonderful about my story with Balance hotel?????

The hotel is clean, the staff is polite, but the location was les desirable. Parking was hard to find unless you paid them €9 per night and there wasn’t much for food in the area.

A lovely old German building within 5 minute slow walk to the tram stop or Sbahn station. Recommended.

Great location for us. The free public transportation was a nice feature we took advantage of. No air conditioning in room, but we didn’t need it because the evenings were very pleasant.

I stayed for four nights and got, booked a double room, got a single. Got a room right next to the elevator, which is really noisy. Also no air conditioning. Room was right above the street entrance, so noisy at times.All up I recommend to avoid such a room.Otherwise very clean and pretty place. You get a free bus/tram ticket which is very handy.

Amazing staff, they gave me an executive suite because they were out of standard rooms.I also liked how dark the rooms were.

This is s good normal hotel in a suburban / edge of town location.Its clean and well run, and accessible by train and tram but not walking distance to town centre or main areas of activity.

Great deal Overall, take a tAxi to the location then return to town via S-Bahn. The hotel gives free tickets and the station is right around the corner. No free coffee and BF is expensive.

My family stayed in this hotel over two nights and the service was excellent, both in terms of the reception staff and the waitress service at breakfast was faultless. We were well impressed with the service and also the facilities for our short stay. A most comfortable choice.

I had a conference at the Leipzig heart hospital so this hotel was southeast of the city and perfect for my needs.. I had a quiet room, breakfast and the fact the hotel has a restaurant was convenient for a busy business traveller.The hotel staff were courteous and knowledgable and the fact they give you a transport card that works on trams, buses and trains means it is very easy. Having a small gym helps beat the bulge and refreshes the body. Only small minus is that the gym needs towels and water. Small criticisms for an excellent stay

Worked out well for iris as a stop over between Nuremberg and Berlin.

Great hotel in a quiet area, trams nearby for easy city access and tram pass provided by the hotel.

Hotel in residential location. The room was small, but clean with comfortable beds. The fridge was useful for cold drinks. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel it was cheaper to go into the city. The free tram travel was very useful. Tram times were very frequent and quickly took us into the city. The main problem was the lack of air conditioning in the hotel. We thought in the absence of air conditioning the hotel could have provided fans, which they didn't. We asked, but were told they didn't have any. It was very uncomfortable as the outside temperature was high 30c's. I would expect a 4 star hotel to have air con. Parking was no problem on the street outside. Didn't need to use hotel garage.

Hotel is some distance from the city center, but they provide free tram tickets to downtown, about a 15 min ride. The trams are frequent and comfortable, so the distance was not a problem. We found the staff friendly, helpful and accomodating.
