We stayed at Irving House while moving our college student primarily because it was dog friendly and due to location. Proximity to Harvard Square is very convenient. Our room was clean. The staff, except for one, was friendly and helpful. Breakfast, although average, was included. The property overall was tired, worn and mismatched. Temperature was controlled at the floor, not individual room, level which was not always comfortable for us. There is no elevator. Some of the bathrooms were not en suite, which we've experienced in Europe, but not in the US. Parking was available. We would look for other options for future stays.

Fresh coffee available at entrance with fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic with huge array of options, most of which were organic. Convenient parking on site and off street. Will definitely stay again.

Great staff with easy check-in and check out, fantastic recommendations for getting around and local eateries. Breakfast was amazing, with gluten-free options and a lovely space to eat. Highly recommend Irving House!

Sweet rooms with very comfortable beds... Always clean, and the standard breakfast spread includes many options, all delicious (such as a big bowl of fresh cut strawberries!). The most welcoming B&B in Cambridge. Note: if you choose a room with a shared bathroom, there is a hair dryer in each, so you need not pack your own. I've never had to wait for a shower in one of the shared bathrooms.

This is an old fashioned B & B in a residential neighborhood, about half a mile from Harvard Square. The B&B has small rooms and country bedding. Very clean and mostly quiet. I had a separate bath, which made the room acceptable. It was super hot outside, but the air conditioning kept me cool at night. The breakfast was ample, and the staff kindly carried my big suitcase, since there is no elevator.

Really lovely guest house with all amenities one could wish for. Love the freshly baked cookies and coffee at the reception as well as the postcard shipping service. The beds are super comfy and the breakfast is delicious each morning!

We were here for one night on a very short visit to Boston. The Irving house was perfect. Located very close to all amenities and nice walking sidewalks. Breakfast was rather elegant in a quaint area of the house. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Our room was much bigger than it looked in the pictures. The beds were comfortable.
