Ive been to many hotels and motels, but never have I had such a horrible experience as this. The staff were rude, ans Dour rooms werent prepared in advance. It was requested that the rooms would be next to each other because it was for a family trip, and they gave us two rooms extremely far from each other. When you walk in the motel you immediately smell Marijuana. Rooms are fine, but had a bad experience with one of the staff members. They were very uncooperative, and unwilling to work with us. It was extremely noisy with families arguing, and was unable to sleep well. Overall do NOT reccomend.

So the stay started off rough, neither our room or my moms had a working phone. My room was mssing a light, the tv didn't work. The front desk employee had to get an okay from the manager to move our room to one with everthing working. Much better but my moms phone still didn't work.

To start when we pulled up it was a bit shady going into the filthy lobby was another experience while the manager and her coworker were talking amongst each other and using foul language which I was beside myself we get up to our room which the Halls were disgusting kids and families playing in the Halls garbage outside the doors but we couldn't get in our room so I called on my cell phone downstairs and she refused to come up and help fortunately another guest helped us get into our room however the beds had springs coming out lopsided the room was atrocious no screens on the windows bugs stuck to the ceiling of the bathroom lights not working phone have no cord it was just disgusting the most important part of a hotel stay is the bed and they refuse to switch our room I told staff we wanted to leave at night early I had a wedding to go to so I had to stay for at least the two nights and the manager behind the desk said well what's the big deal you only have been spent fu***** 80 plus bucks. Talk about being appalled. I'm in the middle of trying to get the refund as we speak I do not recommend going to the Newport motel 6 to anyone ever!

TV had one channel only. No blankets. Scruffy environment. Stairway dirty (railings/floor). No elevator, okay, just should know.

Bedroom linens although clean were paper thin. The beds were no more than a thin mattress over a double cot. One reading light over bed was out. Limited selection of TV stations. The tub shower faucet fixture is loose and ready to come off with more use. The property is in a good location but very, very, dated. It has great potential with an investment by the owners. The current room rates speak for themselves. One pays for what they get. In the property's present state, the room rates should be lower. Staff very friendly!

There were roaches in the room.

This property is horrible. We arrived after the required check in time to find our room was not available. The person at the desk told us 20 minutes. We had to wait outside and she finally came out, told us our room was ready, and took a break in a car several over from us. We arrived to our room to find lights not working, had no wash clothes in our room, and the television didn't work. We went down to see if we could be moved to another room. The person at the desk said she would see if she could ask the manager and said it will be a while before she could Come talk to us. We had our suspicions she was the manager but kept blowing things off. We asked her to refund our money which she said she couldn't do and the manager would have to do that. After getting our things from our room, we asked how to reach the manager. The story changed again...you have to call Expedia and they can call The hotel. We called Expedia and they tried reaching the hotel and they wouldn't answer the phone..how convenient. Expedia is working to try to obtain us a refund. Save yourself the time, aggregation, and your safety...DO NOT BOOK A STAY IN THIS DUMP

Room was clean but everything smelled like old cigarettes. I got home my bag and clothes that did not wear have to be washed due to the smell. Hotel needs to do rehab on whole hotel. Needs very needed updates
