About 10 minutes walk from the train station and tram stop. Excellent breakfast, good variety. Half board dinner was good with a variety of choices. Location is central but quiet.

Liked proximity to public transportation, shopping and dining. Staff was friendly and accommodated to store luggage beyond stay duration Reception is hard to find or the entrance to hotel. Building is shared with other businesses. Did not like that booking early was higher priced. Superior room has sofa bed and kitchen for family of 4. Sofa bed is uncomfortable. Family room might be a better option with 2 bunk beds for a group of 4. Superior room has appliances with no utensils. Staff could have accommodated the request for family room change request. Tried a bit harder than reacting “it’s your booking”. At Breakfast juice was just water. Average breakfast option choice and taste. Would not stay again. Did not try dinner or fins.

The food was amazing and the staff was very kind!

We were very comfortable in our family room with a queen bed and a set of bunk beds for our teenagers. The breakfasts were amazing and the evening meal was much appreciated and very good also. We did not use the fitness room or sauna but the fitness room looked very well equipped as well. The staff was helpful and friendly.

After travelling around southern Sweden, we were looking for a hotel to accommodate us before our flight back. What can I say, the hotel delivered superbly. Great service (my youngest daughter loved Matilda at the desk) great food and such a relaxing night. Cannot fault it.

Fair price hotel, well located less than 500mts from central train station. Checkin is on the 2nd floor and was fast and early, our rooms were available before 3pm…nice! Breakfast is very good, many different items and delicious breads. Dinner is included in the rate and is served every evening from 6-9pm, salad buffet plus a meat that changes daily. I would say that after 2 nights I would not eat there again, food is always the same day after day lol! I would give 5-star to this hotel, but sadly their WiFi is awful on the rooms of 5th floor. Lack of good WiFi in our rooms affected our capacity to plan our trips and to communicate ourselves easily. I communicated the reception about the WiFi issue and the did absolutely NOTHING about to solve it. This is why Clarion Odin misses one of the stars, in my opinion.

Superb, food excellent, service outstanding. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very close to the station and city centre. The room was well equipped and comfortable, and spacious for a single room, with the bed being larger than a standard single. Staff were friendly and check-in was straightforward. The included dinner (6-9pm) was tasty and breakfast was great with a wide selection of options.

Good location, Friendly staff! Car parking have to be done with specific APP, which is not very convenient if you do not live in Sweden. Also access to the parking area was not so easy, gate can't be opened without the APP.. better to park somewhere else.

My husband and I had a wonderful 15 night stay here over the holiday break in Dec/Jan. The staff were all so kind and made our time in Göteburg feel like home. Room - We booked a Deluxe Double Room to have an outside window (some rooms are off the interior atrium). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and soap provided were all high quality. Room had an iron, hair dryer, coffee (instant), tea, and we requested kitchen supplies. We requested cleaning every 4 days through the front desk (the day before each time). We exchanged towels inbetween with housekeeping. Food - Coffee, tea, and water were always available and there is a bar beside the front desk to buy other drinks. Fika was a different sweet baked good each day. Breakfast had a cold section (croissants, bread, yogurt, cheese, deli meats, cereal, fruit), and a hot section (scrambled eggs, beans, sausage, meatballs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, sometimes potatoes). Also lactose-free/ oat yogurt and milk and gluten free crackers, and biscuits. For dinner, there was one hot main, a soup, bread, and some cold salads. Vegetarian meals could be requested. Cold dishes rotated - couscous salad, pasta salad, olives, iceberg salad, Greek salad, corn and beans, cold roasted vegetables, etc.. Buffets were unlimited. Location - 5 minute walk to Central Station and a full grocery store next door. Laundry was convenient - just book a 2 hour slot with the front desk. There are 2 washers and dryers. You provide your own soap. S

Decent but quite worn out hotel, not worth the price I had to pay while Bruce Springsteen and his fans were in town. Wi-fi, which should be standard service, wasn’t working properly. Didn’t complain because I was able to roam on my mobile without additional charges. My first time staying in Clarion hotel and was definitely expecting a bit more especially considering the price. Although it was clean, the best days of this building are behind. On the other hand, if the price had been much less, I wouldn’t be complaining (except for the internet). Finally - life is what happens when you are waiting for an elevator in this building. Unbelievably non-functioning system.

The hotel is currently under construction, and not only is it cluttered, but the staff are unfriendly. Recommended if you want a prison-like atmosphere and prisoner's treatment. And definitely not a 4 star hotel.

The Clarion is located an easy walk from the Gothenburg Central Station where you can catch a bus,trolly, train or taxi. You can get anywhere in Gothenburg easily from the Central Station. The Clarion rooms were clean and laid out nicely. Breakfast, Fika and a light dinner were included in our room rate. We felt that was a very nice feature. All the staff we encountered were kind and helpful. We found the Clarion to be one of our favorite places on our trip.

great hotel, superior room was huge and came with a full kitchen however there were no kitchen items available so we could only use the fridge. The biggest issue with this hotel is the toilet paper. It feels like repurposed woodchips or cardboard. Otherwise, friendly staff, great breakfast, and very convenient location.

Located in a nice cove and under the shadow of its cousin, The Post, the Odin offers everything in a more homely and encompassing way. I loved being in the thick of the lovely Swedish people and their traditional breakfast, fika and dinner. I noticed that the Post was a clientele that would splurge while the Odin was for normal people.
