There is much to like about Europa Hotel, but hands down the absolute best part is the staff. They are accommodating, helpful, and will do whatever they can to make your stay as pleasant and comfortable as they can. Michael, in particular, is the best, and we feel indebted to him for all his assistance. He is also friendly and funny. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and big (high ceilings, too). Excellent location, as it is in front of the beach and right in between two bus stops covering many bus routes, including the X2 for the airport. Many restaurants in the area. We had planned to go to Gozo for a few nights in between stays in Europa Hotel, and decided to extend our stay here and go to Gozo for fewer nights. We were also able to leave some luggage behind until we came back, and it was accommodated in the best way. Great value and you definitely get more than expected for the price -- some negative reviews seem to want amenities more fit for four/five star hotels. Would happily stay here again if we return to Malta. Highly recommended. Thank you for everything!!!

The staff was great, and very helpful. The view from the balcony was amazing for sunsets. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's in good shape, and it's a great value. We extended our stay and then returned after a couple of days in another city. Very convenient for buses and the old town area.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Shower normal European size, which is to say small. Hot water was quick and plentiful. Had a harder time and a bit of a wait to get cold water. Location was quiet and an easy 30 minute bus ride to Valleta and decent connections to airport and places like Rabat/Mdina. Buses ran every 7-10 mins to Valetta and stop is a short walk from hotel. My room had a balcony that just looked on the inside of hotel walls which was not worth looking at or stepping out onto. Staff was friendly. Didn’t pay to have the breakfast, so have no opinion about it.

My room had a regular size, and I was very surprised with the balcony area (which was not included in the description). The breakfast is ok, nothing extraordinary, but tasty. The people who works in the hotel are very friendly and helpful, so I highly recommended to young people (solo, couple or friends), who wants a comfortable place to sleep and don't care too much about luxury or big sized rooms.

We had a sea view which made up for any “bad” aspects of the hotel. The sea view was beautiful and would recommend that room to everyone. The hotel was also situated in a good area with lots of things to do and see. However, the breakfast was not good. Very basic so would not recommend that. Also our balcony door kept breaking which wasn’t great. But other than that, I really enjoyed my time at the hotel.

For the location and the price we paid, couldn’t have asked for more. Early February and while not the warmest of temperatures, we had a beautiful view from the balcony with blankets to take the chill off

Very good location- near to public transport. It is basic hotel but good value for money. Worth to pay extra to have a room with sea view. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. No kettle in the room. Reception staff not very welcoming. Breakfast simple, little choice.

It’s hard to explain,how bad the service at this hotel is!

Great value for money. The hotel is really well located, in a few steps you reach bus stops where you catch buses to explore Malta and it’s a walk distance from Sliema Ferries as well. Overall experience is positive.

Location was perfect, local bus stops almost outside. Room was always clean, fresh towels everyday. A mini fridge would've been perfect, if only big enough for us to water in. Breakfast wasn't our thing, but we loved "mint" just down the road.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful about local services> laundry,bus/ferry times post box,easy WiFi access, very pleasant stay..It was very easy to get around the island from the hotel and lots of good eating places nearbye.

did not stay long enough and cannot rate much more because I was only in transit and just slept here.

The hotel overall was ok, the tv in our room did not work, reported to reception and no more heard, still not working when we left. Room 512

Fantastic location, great value for money, had Seaview room which was fabulous. No hesitation in staying there again. Very clean. Breakfast was good, the usual European breakfast foods and an abundance of Maltese bread which was nice. My only comment I must make is that the breakfast staff should greet you with a smile and stop resting on the counter where you have to maneuver around them to access the cutlery and plates.

Good basic accommodation. Good size rooms and good breakfast buffet. The walls are thin so you can hear guests in the next room. Staff start early in the morning and can make quite a lot of noise which is disruptive.

Lovely view of the sea from our room,room was clean newly refurbished bathroom,Luckily I took a travel kettle and coffee with me because no kettle in the rooms ..Ideal location walking distance to all you need ..staff friendly and helpful.

It’s not the Hilton, but I found it clean, comfortable and simple. Which is exactly what I wanted. Location wise it wasn’t pretty perfect for me was close by the town center and a few bus stops which would probably be how you’d get around. Also lot of good food places which range from expensive to affordable.

Nice outlook and close to buses, shops, transport, bars and restaurants. Shopping mall fairly close too. Some staff were helpful and always offered a greeting. One male staff member was more interested in wstching tv and didnt even make eye contact. I didn't realise until I got there that my room did not have aircon. Time in the room was therefore uncomfortable.
