The stay was very pleasent. The room was clean . Breakfast was simple but did trick with out a doubt. Easy check in and easy out.

Manager named “OM” was very helpful and hospitable, offering me a tour of rooms to choose from for early check-in. He gave our stay a peaceful and protected feeling. His warmth and friendliness made us wish to return again in the future!

We could not check-in because the there was no record of our reservation from Hotels.com. Hotels.com took the money from our account from this reservation but did not get us a room. Total rip-off. Shame on you Hotels.com. I will call hotels directly from here on out. We want our money refunded.

This is such a sweet little hotel! It’s right downtown close to restaurants and shopping and the beach. The rooms were clean, and the employees were very nice and helpful.

The host lady was very rude and not too personable. She spoke with an attitude and was very aggressive. I will not be using this hotel ever again due to that. I spent a good Amount of money to stay there, and it was not worth it at all!

The location was convenient as it was off of one of the main roads in carmel. The walk to the beach is doable but a bit harder than expected. Easy to get around and just down the street from their farmers market on thursday! Check in and check out was super easy and staff was friendly. Parking lot was a bit inconvenient due to few spaces and lots of cars but there was free roadside parking very close by.

The parking isn’t ideal. The property isn’t fancy by any means. It’s a basic, clean hotel. It’s walking distance to everything though, and I don’t anticipate you needing to drive in Carmel at all, which is very convenient. It’s a cute place to stay. The staff was excellent, and very helpful!

On the main street of town, Ocean Ave. Rooms were very comfortable. Convenient parking close to your hotel room door. Hot breakfast with Espresso machine. Would definitely come back.

Room very clean and close to shops & restaurants but room is either extremely hot or extremely cold. No auto management of temperature. Did not sleep well. Modernize your system and you will have more stars.

Nice place in great location. Hotel is old but has been refurbished. Rooms are small and the only negative is you can hear your neighbors, like shower water running, walking by, etc. The night I spent was pretty quiet after 10 pm. Price was good.

The grounds could use some love but the rooms were upgraded and clean and very comfortable. My room offered what I needed but it would have been nice to have a shower cap for the bathroom.
Most hotels in the area open their breakfast early for the guests who are running the marathon (all the hotels raise their rates for this weekend and most hotels book out). They asked what time they would have to open up that morning and it seemed like it was too inconvenient to do so.
There is room for improvement, but I would still book here again.

Room is clean, the bed is nice, we have a tiny fridge so they have must comply my request when i booked to have a fridge. No microwave though and it has been a new trend i’m guessing, hotels don’t equip their rooms with such.

The hotel was easy to get to, we could walk to all shopping and dining (not to the beach/ocean) and it provides parking. The manager was friendly and rooms were remodeled and clean. Other than included breakfast which is nice, not much amenities but for the price it was a great place to stay!

Overall, very satisfied. Not excellent though because the room we were in is too noisy. We are at the corner room but the side rooms I believe is the storage/ laundry room/ generator room. Anyhow, the machines are are loud and noisy. We also heard heavy steps because we are near/ under the stairs. Maybe if we are in different room location it would be better.

This is an adorable property that is in perfect walking distance to all the cute shops, art galleries, and restaurants in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Beds are very comfortable, bathrooms have been beautifully updated, and it’s very quiet at night.
