A real option for R&R and fine touches within and around the property. Staff were exceptional.

While comfortable, to me, the room looked tired and definitely way past its prime. It was not particularly clean and had green mold in the water tank of the coffee maker. The staff really tried to provide excellent service but in my opinion lacked the training required for a 5 star experience. For a property of its size, I thought it was understaffed and many of the details I usually experience at this price were absent. The food and drinks were moderately expensive as would be expected at a 5-star facility but, I found the food to be mediocre. There were some great restaurants in town. Overall the whole experience was like a cruise ship. At almost $700 per day including food and drink charges it definitely was not worth it to me. It was still an ok trip if you are not budget conscious.They were unable to provide NONE of the VIP hotel.com gold member benefits including guaranteed late check out. I am not sure why that was promised on the site. For me, they over promised and under delivered.

Impeccable service with extremely friendly and helpful staff. The whole property was incredibly beautiful. We loved the yoga, spa, and restaurant.

The resort is beyond beautiful, relaxing, quiet, clean, wonderful service, delicious food. Nothing to complain about except maybe a lizard/gecko here and there. But only on the ceilings.

The smoothest and most professional hotel experience we've had. Everything was on point - from the beauty of the surroundings to the whole staff. I think we ended up trying pretty much all services Tanah Gajah offers and each and every step they delivered. We ended up changing our upcoming winter holidays to visit them again.

When we stepped into this property, for a moment it felt surreal! And it truly felt that way during the entire duration of our stay. The service is excellent, the property is amazing, the history connected to it heightened our experience! The Hadiprana villa's magnificence along with the outstanding service made us feel like we were staying at home!

Only 20 villas spread over large property with gardens, ponds, rice paddies, large common pool that never had more than 1-2 other people there (though we had our own villa pool), and spa. Each villa has original art collection from owner. It's luxury with local flavor. The service is extraordinary... there's complimentary afternoon tea every day; we asked for local treats and drinks (off menu) and they obliged with different items every day of our 5 day stay. Most of the staff have worked at this property for years and there's obvious pride about this place. I've stayed at Four Seasons Sayan and Jimbaran Bay -- Tanah Gajah wins by a mile. We traveled with our young adult son in a 2-bedroom 3,000+ sf villa -- the price was better than a one-bedroom villa at comparable international chains -- but the experience was better. You feel secluded but every available service (meals, afternoon tea, car ride to Ubud town, laundry, etc) is just a WhatsApp away (the reception desk put us on group chat with several staff members... every request was answered promptly... just blew me away...)

We had a personal buttler who was very attentive, quick and humble. The entire staff knew about us since there are only 20 villas and by the end of our stay we had met most of them. The resort provides private car shuttle round trip to go to ubud centers. The drivers are fun to talk to as well and extremely humble and honest. The breakfast and the afternoon tea with snacks were refreshing. Overall if you want a relaxing experience and down to earth and caring staff then this is the place to be!! We were greeted by the Resort GM, manager and the chef as well which made it all the more personalized experience.

We had high expectations reading reviews, but nothing could have prepared us for how completely in love we have fallen with Chedi Club! The grounds are beautiful, rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool!!! Service is incredible, everyone is so warm and friendly and will do anything for you. Food is fantastic too! Food and drinks are expensive, but given there are so many inclusions (amazing breakfast, afternoon tea, laundry service, mini bar) and everything is so amazing, we didn't begrudge paying those prices at all. I have never felt so relaxed, and will be booking asap to go back next year, and for a bit longer. I think this will become an annual trip for us, and despite all the travel we have done, this is the first time ever we have found 'our place' that we want to return to again and again.

The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Ubud was even prettier then the pictures posted on the website. Our room was well appointed and spacious. The service couldn't have been more attentive and the food and drinks were wonderful. We visited the spa and had one of the best massages we've ever had! I never give out excellents because I feel there is always room for improvement but not here. It was perfect!

A picture-square resort in Ubud in the middle of rice fields. It has a unique room with bathroom, tub, & shower being outside. You feel like you're taking a bath in the middle of a forest. The restaurant is in the middle of rice fields with a nice breeze.

My wife and I stayed several nights here on our honeymoon — incredible place! Most unique resort we have ever stayed in. Complementary shuttle into Ubud very useful. Grounds are abundant, historic and picturesque. Highly recommend!

The Chedi Club was amazing! My husband and I picked The Chedi Club for an extra special place to stay for our honeymoon and it was exactly that! We were greeted by the staff and a butler that was assigned to us at checkin! He was amazing and was wonderful at checking in on us without it being too much! The food was wonderful! The breakfast and afternoon tea by the pool was excellent! We even got room service for dinner and that was super yummy! The hotel was breathtakingly manicured and the spa was a dream! We got a couples massage and a bathing ceremony which was beautiful as it overlooks the rice paddies! It was our honeymoon so when we got to our room there was a flower bath, swan towels on the bed, and a delicious cake honeymoon cake in our room! The attention to detail and precision in everything about the hotel was perfect and I would highly recommend The Chedi Club to everyone!
