I ate at the restaurant in the hotel and charged the bill to my room. A few hours later the power was shut down in my room. I went to the front desk and asked what happened. They stated this was their tactic to get me to come downstairs and see them because my lunch bill was unpaid. Firstly, the bill was paid. In fact my entire stay was paid upfront so this could not be construed as some tactic to skip out on a cheap lunch. Secondly, this is the most unprofessional situation I have ever encountered in any hotel in the world. Why the staff woukd not simply call my room or knock on the door if the had a question? Why shut off my electricity and water? This was degrading and disgraceful behavior. When the power was shut down I was trying to take a conference call and the front desk had no sympathy and defended their actions. I would very much like a manager to contact me and make things right, assuming that is even possible.

The hotel staff is extremely friendly and courteous. The room we stayed in was very comfortable, clean and had a nice view.
The breakfasts were delicious.
We were very satisfied with everything, especially the personal care from the staff.
The location was good, however, you need transportation. If we ever come back to Vicenza, DaPorto would be our first choice of a hotel.

Solid hotel. Clean, yet a little worn. Friendly staff and good location for work purposes. Attached restaurant is excellent as well.

Nice, clean room with easy parking and a really good breakfast. Fairly close to the old town. Nothing special, but well worth the price. I will probably stay here again next time.

We only had an over night stopover but would certainly return for a longer period.

The hotel is few minutes drive away from the fiera da Vicenza and about 10 min by taxi from station. We didn't look for bus route but I doubt there was any near by the hotel. The room size was ok and decor is slightly out dated. The shocking thing was, the hotel don't provide slippers for the room comparing to the money they charge, so take your own slippers. The jacket hanger will fall off in the middle of the night if your jacket is heavy. The room was nicely cleaned everyday. The staff was excellent, they provide great service to make sure you are happy as they allowed me to checkout one day early without charging me for the whole booking. overall experience was good!

For those with car, da Porto is a great place to stay in Vicenza. Nice and professional staff, spacious and clean rooms, very good breakfast, great base to travel around the region. We have been a whole weak with our children. We missed it during the rest of the trip. We will certainly come back.

That's been the biggest problem for my husband and I! Actually getting to the hotel without getting lost! We live in Germany so we usually drive anywhere that's withing 6 hours or so! This hotel was easy to find, the directions off of mapquest took us right there!

The hotel was extremely comfortable. Only criticism would be that it was far too hot. The staff were very courtious and dealt with any requests or queries we had efficiently and always with a smile and "no problemo". We were staying there with two elderly female relatives. Whenever we came back in the evening I had to jump out of the lift up from the garage to get our keys, they were waiting on the desk for us. Would recommend this hotel to any traveller to Verona.

This hotel was overall clean and new. Internet (kind of slow)is available in your room for a reasonable fee per 24 hours of use. Parking was free and convenient on-site. The hotel is in a quiet and seemingly safe part of town, as compared with a few of the other large hotels in the area. My only complaint was with the service. The check-in staff were a bit short with me when I asked for directions or other information. Also, when my friend called the room from an outside line, they couldn't transfer the call to my room, disconnecting him 3 times. I had to call him myself, getting charged for the phone call (which was not that expensive). Overall, I would stay here again if in the area.
