Likes: Hotel was nice; breakfast was awesome (the usual hotel fare, plus egg and Swiss cheese sandwiches in English Muffins, bacon, sausage, and hard boiled eggs); was offered my choice of floors. Dislikes: unfortunately, the floor we selected was the ground floor, about one room away from the cleaning room supplies and apparently the hang out room for the staff. Had to put ear plugs in at 5:55 am. Ice machines didn’t work on the 1st and 2nd floors, and on the 3rd floor I had to scoop out the ice as it wouldn’t dispense.

Ohhh my, where do i start! This place is in the Ghetto, entire neighborhood has chain linked fences with barb wire and cages on windows. Pool was nasty and green with trash all over the pool area, should be condemned. 2 towels for 4 family members for 2 nights, never had any clean ones according to the “desk attendant,” she sat outside smoking all the time. Water jug in lobby had old rotten oranges in it with no water. It was miserable.

Disappointed by the state of cleanliness of the room and bathroom.

The clerk did not know that I was staying at the hotel and told me to go check the other North Charleston locations but the kind of person I am I was not going anywhere when the incompetent clerk finally finds my name screams hang up I found it yes you are here and did not even apologize for the error!!!! Poor customer service due to a incompetent female clerk. 5/3/24 5:30 pm.

We have stayed here multiple times, we have always had good experiences! Definitely will stay here again.

Room was dirty upon check in. Someone’s dirty sock and a Bobby pin were on the floor. The toilet tipped every time you sat on it. Bedding was clean but stained. We left early on Sunday and the person who was working the front desk was sleeping you could only see their bare feet from the counter. So we just left and on the inside of the vestibule there was a homeless person sleeping. I’d chose another place.

Absolute WORST experience ever! I will start off by saying the interaction with staff was always pleasant, but other than that the entire experience was horrible. After staying 4 nights not one time was our room cleaned even after checking in w front desk on the 2nd day they assured us it would be cleaned the next day. No one ever came to give us new towels or take out the trash. we went to get our own towels and they had none to give. Maybe if they would come clean the rooms that wouldn’t be an issue. Only one ice machine in the entire building. The little convenience store is almost completely empty. If you ever need anything, it’s ALWAYS a long wait if someone isn’t already at the front desk. Someone would always come out SEVERAL minutes later claiming they were “making cookies” I saw cookies once.. They have cards at the front desk with management contacts, but I would assume they have no interest in fixing these issues by Heather’s generic responses under other guest reviews. The parking lot is very very sketchy. People always hanging around out there and not enough parking spots leaving us to park in undesignated areas. On the last day, housekeeping came knocking at 830 in the morning as we were packing to leave. No point in having them at them when we’re on our way out, so we said no thank you. Housekeeper continued to try to get in the room. Once again said no thank you and she started asking us when we were leaving. As far as I knew, check out was 12:00..

Location is convenient to food and shopping, airport, and entertainment

Stayed two nights. No one come to clean the room. Had to go to front desk to get towels for second night. Floors dirty. Parking was full had to line up cars in front of the hotel in the unloading zone. Cookies supposed to be provided in evening..none available.

There was no working ice machine on 3 of the 4 floors. We were not told at check in and when asked where we could get ice, we were told "oh its only working on the first floor".

Hotel was a little high price for the quality. The outlets behind the fidge did not work, so we couldn't make coffee, use the microwave or fridge. The shower barely sprayed out after fiddling with it for a minute to get to actually come out the shower head. It smelled weird and definitely needs renovations. Breakfast was as expected for the type of hotel. They had the usual stuff to eat so that wasn't a problem. The few staff I spoke with where nice. We stayed at the Spring Hill in the same complex a few months prior and I would recommend that one more.

Great staff, service, and room. I had no issues. The front desk clerks and staff member for breakfast were great, courteous and helpful in meeting me and my family's request. Not far from Summerville, downtown Charleston and places to shop. I would recommend this hotel.

The room had some insects. I was bitten by the insects.

When we arrived at 4pm our room was not ready. We had to wait until approximately 4:45 to check in. There were several other quests in the lobby also waiting on rooms. When we got off the elevator the hall way was dirty and looked as if not vacuumed in several days. Room 318 - the shower was dirty good think we travel with our own cleaning supplies. The toilet was not bolted to the floor. It completely lifted up and almost tipped over. Day 2 - there was trash left out side of rooms in the hall ways. Would not recommend.

The property was very clean, however, it is in need of some updates...decor was a bit outdated in some areas.

Hotel was decent, but beds and pillows were terrible. Walls are paper thin also. If you can stay on a top floor, it would be better i'm sure.

VERY DISAPPOINTED BY CONDITIION OF ROOMS... TOILET DID NOT FLUSH--JAMMED--CLERK BROUGHT US A PLUNGER AND LEFT??????? SHOWER PRESSURE POOR...DUST ON SHELVES IN BATHROOM AND IN ROOM....2 TOWELS...WHEN WENT TO DESK FOR TOWELS NONE AVAILABLE AND NO HAND TOWELS EITHER. BREAKFAST LADY WAS RUDE AND NO SILVERWARE OUT FOR BREAKFAST AND IT WAS AFTER 8 AM...CLEARLY MANAGEMENT IS NOT DOING VERY WELL. ASKED HOUSEKEEPER FOR COFFEE AND STUFF FOR ROOM AND SHE DUMPED IN ROOM....NO BED MAKING OR TRASH REMOVAL...CONSEQUENTLY NO TIP....WILL GO ELSEWHERE NEXT TIME.

First, the room had a terrible smell, The shower had black mold, microwave so noisy that feels like is going to fall apart, the floor at the breakfast super sticky. I won’t stay here again.

Would like bigger pillows and extra blanket but it was a nice room

Walls paper thin and could not sleep due to noise of guests. No water due to pipe burst

Bare bones amenities. Only 2 towels in room with 2 queen beds. No lotion, no pen and paper in room, no towels or paper towels in fitness room. Hotel needs updating. Bags of trash were left in the halls. Breakfast was gross, bed was uncomfortable. Our next door neighbor was smoking and it took multiple complaints before the hotel kicked them out. They also changed my original booking from multiple beds to a King and had to call to change it back. This hotel is not worth 144.00 a night! I was very disappointed as we usually stay at Marriotts and this hotel doesn't live up to the Marriott brand.

our room was not ready when we tried to check in at 1:30 so we came back at 4:30 and was told that the room was still not ready but after 15 mins or so the clerk found a clean room. The hotel was not very clean and a little beat up, more of a motel 6 quality than Fairfield inn

Very polite and helpful staff. Location is great as it’s readily accessible to the main freeway, restaurants and stores and yet was quiet. On the downside- only one elevator (but never a long wait) but the floor was constantly sticky or dirty), the TVs are not smart so no streaming as at other Marriotts and the mattress and pillows were the worst that I’ve experienced and mind you, I’ve stayed at Comfort Inns and Hilton Garden inn (both had very comfortable mattresses and pillows).

Last minute “replacement “ for a second night in town! Was perfect

Plumbing did not work in one room and key cards were not working. Not satisfied. I expect some compensation for not delivering what should be expected.

For a Marriott property I was very impressed. There seemed to never be anyone up front to answer questions, so there was a wait. I was unable to get extra towels and washcloths. I was given two towels, one was for the gym with the blue line and the other was a blue towel all together, not a hotel issue. I really don't see myself visiting this location again. Probably a lack of staffing I would guess.
