For some reason my room card (room 413) wouldn't work on the 3rd evening, which was a problem as it was after 10.30 in the evening, and i was a single 69 year old traveller. I returned to reception and the card was reset, i returned again to the 4th floor to find it still wasn't working. A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time.

It was clean but a long hallway

The room was smelled mold, and spayed air freshener which caused even worse. The worst part was no Wi-Fi internet service in our room. We reported the issue the first day after check-in, but no constructional answers for that. No technician came to fix it or no compensation for the inconvenience. The receptionist kept telling me that they can’t do anything because the manager was not there. And no one knew when the manager will reply the emails to address the issue due to the coming weekends. It was absolutely unacceptable no one in the building taking any responsibility to address customer’s requirement.
We were very disappointed, and won’t recommend the hotel at all.

No one should ever be given the rooms bed the swimming pool. The rooms were miserably hot and nothing was done. It was terrible and we could not sleep.

We stayed there several times in the last12 years. The hotel maintains its good quality of service and comfort.
The rooms are large, an excellent breakfast buffet, free parking, and an easy way to go to Amsterdam by public transportation (18 min). Very good restaurant on the premises. We highly recommend it!

This is a quiet hotel in a good location for sightseeing.The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a great walk in shower.

Very nice hotel, quiet, clean, well located with kind customer service. What I did not like was: lack of bottled water in a luxury room, lack of kettle to make tea. Breakfast could be better as it is 4* hotel and hotel restaurant is quite expensive. Generally speaking it is the hotel worth of attention.

Staff very good but the room was smelling some pet urine… Even for an economy (last minute) room I felt it was overpriced - a bit disappointed for a VdV’s normal standard

My wife and I stayed there for two nights and I can only give it my best recommendations.
The only thing I can put a finger on, if any, is the location far from city. But apart from that we had a fantastic stay :)

Breaking was amazing & it was clean. Not too far from central- get there bus pass from the hotel& there’s a night bus also.

Overall a very good hotel with comfortable rooms and amenities.The swimming pool is greatIn the improvements side: not clear why the Gym cost additional fees...In addition the reception requested full payment at the check in which was weird

The hotel was in a lovely rural location. Hotel bike rentals were inexpensive and incredibly fun. Bike trails allowed us to bike easily to several surrounding small scenic towns. The restaurant was wonderful with great food and ambiance. Our room was spacious and peaceful. We would definitely stay there again if the opportunity arose in our travels.

A very comfortable room and excellent dinners. The bus stop opposite the hotel and a frequent bus service made this hotel and ideal place to stay.
We thought breakfast a little expensive and would have preferred to be able to just have a cheaper continental breakfast.

Very nice and clean. Nice area close to fishing towns like Volendam and Marker island. Good food and lots of history. Laid back spot and close to Amsterdam. Definitely will go back.

Lovely place to stay if you need to rest and stay away from the stress of the city. Perfect view and location. 25 min drive to Amsterdam. Cheese and clogs factory walking distance.

I booked this looking at places in and around amsterdam centre. This property should never have been on that list as it is sooo far from the city. The property itself is basic and not worth the monies.

Convenient to local transportation, I found the desk staff to be helpful & informative and was able to store my luggage due to my early arrival. A large, quiet and comfortable room gave me a good night's sleep. The breakfast was also excellent, offering a full choice of items and as much cappuccino as I could possibly drink. Well located close to Edam, Marken & Volendam, the bicycle rental is a great choice for experiencing them all. Recommended.

We had a wonderful time and would visit again. Public transport easily accessible, great place for cycling, very friendly staff, great food and quiet and relaxing atmosphere.
