Hotel in good location next to Metro station.Rooms clean, tidy, compact in size.

Cozy rooms and helpful staff. We got all help we needed and got all our questions answered

Awful location, tiny rooms (shower so small that it was very hard to wash one’s feet!), some of staff not helpful / friendly, on-street parking very hard. But it was pretty cheap. Best avoid the breakfast too.

The hotel is convenient for most of Lille. Right outside is a city bike hire station and a Metro station is just to the left of the entrance. You find that a 20-40 minute walk will bring you to all you may wish to see or visit. It isnt located in the most salubrious part of Lille, though I didnt feel perturbed or threatend when returning quite late in the evening. All in all a good base for a stay in a vibrant city.Is a two star rated hotel so basic in general, but comfortable. The shower cubicles are on the small size but more than adequate. The extra you pay for the buffet breakfast is a good start to the day and has a varied selection of choices.

Close to metro and restaurants. Metro right outside the entrance and restaurants within walkin distance. Easy peasy!

This is the second time I have stayed at the Best Hotel. It is a basic Hotel but nice and clean with modern rooms and freindly helpful staff. The area isnt that great but the metro is just outside the door so not a problem if you get back to the Hotel later in the evening. I have had a good experience on both occations at this Hotel. There is a nice Market just across the road on a Sunday.

Good hotel for quick buisness trips when traveling alone.

Nice, clean, small room, basic accommodations. Tidy, next to Metro steps away, good supermarket across street. No bar soap, shampoo or conditioner. No Kleenex. Plastic glasses crack/break when you remove plastic covering. No fridge, no safe, no ice bucket. No electrical outlet in otherwise nice bathroom. You have to ask for a hair dryer at front desk. I bought a plastic bowl and sturdy inexpensive glass at supermarket, as I was there for several days. Staff was great about getting me ice from the kitchen for my bowl, as there is no ice machine for guests. The hotel was fine basic accommodations if you get it at a good price. Just bring stuff you might otherwise expect to find in other spots.

Ok here is my review: Staff: 5 Room: 3 Breakfast: 3 Sleeping:1- It has been a while since I had such bad night- Firsly hunted by mosquitoes (they need to do something about it) and the noise made by workers on the underground station, which was under my window. It lasted up to 4am!! Workers shouting and it seemed the windows are not double glazed. Would I recommend it? Yes for the price and location ( very lively area- nice restaurant and bars near the hotel) but this is not a hotel for someone in need of peace and quiet.

Agressive manager banging on door twice demanding checkout 5 minutes before the 11am checkout time. Room wasnt cleaned after first night either. Everything else about the hotel was fine. Neighbourhood not great.

Clean and tidy with well furnished rooms.but a little way from the centre for those unable to walk far

this hotel is in the ideal position to visit the centre of Lille either 10 mins walk or 2 stops on the metro

Staff were courteous and efficient, but it was all ruined by the smoking freefor all in all rooms, it would seem.

Cheap and cheerful, a great place if on a budget, but the beds are narrow.

The location was sort of sketch at night. Receptionist was terribly rude when I asked to check out an hour late, as if it was so ridiculous.

We booked this hotel based on the information on Expedia-- details of location, reviews, etc. As it turned out, the hotel is located not 5 minutes from the train but 20 min. in a rather seedy part of town, not close to the city center, as stated The room was tiny-- no room for suitcases or maneuvering around the beds. Not a good choice if you want to see the city or for close proximity to the train. The staff, however, was quite helpful.

The Best Hotel Lille is very conveniently situated, having a Metro station (Gambetta), quite literally, on its doorstep. There are shops and a market really close by too.The hotel is rather basic & the rooms quite small but it was adequate for our purposes - i.e. a base to sight-see the city and visit the Xmas market.If travelling by car it is essential that you book a space in the hotel's u/g car park at approx € per night as street parking is extremely limited.We did not try the hotel breakfast preferring to 'hit the town' early and there were plenty of places offering reasonably priced breakfast fare every where we went.
