Our stay at the Colonial Inn in Harbor Springs was very nice. The hotel is charming with beautiful grounds. We stayed two nights while attending The Taste of Harbor Springs on Saturday.

Absolutely the best experience staying here. Staff was wonderful, hotel was clean, safe and very walkable to all of Harbor Springs downtown. It’s in a beautiful historic neighborhood and has a dock on the bay.
If you’re on the fence, don’t hesitate. Rooms were large and very clean. You will feel all the charm of the historic property with all the modern amenities you could need.

I have been staying at this location for the past 10 years. The overall condition of the grounds and units is getting better. There needs to be more of an effort on outside up keep and renovations. Breakfasts have gotten less impressive. Rates have gone up steadily, probably $100 more than a few years ago. There is no other location I would stay in Harbor Springs.

What a great property, much larger than i thought, our room had fireplace and hot tub, excellent, walk down to the bay is very nice and with a dock to use! breakfast was done well for the amount of guests.

Truly the best place to stay in Harbor Springs. A real sense of place, in a residential setting. Location good for walking. Hotel has a sitting pier to perch on. Pleasant breakfast room and hospiable service. We look forward to returning.

Absolutely lovely stay at the Colonial Inn. We loved the grounds and the proximity to the lake front. Great amenities such as an indoor hot tub and outdoor pool. The room was spacious and we loved the large deck. The complimentary breakfast was next level. Pro tip…grab a coffee and enjoy the front porch of the main building before breakfast or enjoy your breakfast on the back patio of the main building. Even on a rainy morning it was divine!

Musty smelling room #27 with a dehumidifier in bedroom. Small TV with grainy picture. Broken up concrete under the threshold entry. Curtains didn't completely block windows facing the courtyard and 2nd story units. Public areas are nice though.

It’s a beautiful old property with so much charm. Everything was wonderful. Breakfast was great and all staff were very nice. My only concern to list was the beds were not very comfortable. It’s hard to please everyone’s sleeping comfort, but my mother, daughter, and I woke up very stiff.

Vintage building that’s sparkling clean & comfortable. The property is in a quiet & beautiful area walkable to downtown. Our basic room for a 1-night stay was well equipped with great beds & pillows. We enjoyed sitting by the pool & using the hot tub.

On a bicycle tour in Northern Michigan. Stayed at Colonial Innon the second night. Excellent service. The pool and hot tub were exceptionally clean. Rooms were small but nice. Bed was comfortable. I emjoyed my stay.

This quaint inn was just what we needed for our one night stay in Harbor Springs. Loved the room and the breakfast in the am. Loved the veranda to sit on right. Short walk to the dock at the end of the street, and warm cookies when we arrived!! 😍. Our hostess when we checked in was super friendly. A+ accommodations.

This nice quiet historical place was very peaceful which is what I was looking for. I was there for the tunnel of trees and this was the perfect location for it. Staff was nice and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. I loved the fact that we had to use a key to open the door. If your looking to party don’t even book. I needed this peacefulness. All of that and it was still affordable. Would definitely recommend if your looking for a quiet and peaceful place.

The hotel is really clean and well organization. The location is the best. I found a good rate on Hotels.com and was happy with the findings. I don't find the breakfast as excellent as some reviews stated. It was just average. Overall, I am happy with this hotel and definitely would recommend it.

We really liked our stay at Colonial Inn. The room we had, had some unique features, including a large bathroom and several windows to allow natural light to shine in. It felt like we were staying in a condo or someone’s home. The breakfast was decent. Beds were comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. Look forward to staying there again in the future.

The windows had extremely sheer curtains that you could see right in the whole room! The fireplace barely had a flame and the complimentary breakfast was terrible. The sidewalk in front of our room was covered in pine needles. Extremely disappointed and we were charged way too much for what we got. Feel we should get a discount. The shower was the only plus.
