We had a great stay at the Shanthi Maurice Hotel! Lovely attentive staff, amazing room and view (we had a beachfront suite), and beautiful grounds! The only place for improvement would be the breakfast in our opinion, as we found it to be very repetitive (we stayed 4 nights and almost every day had the exact same choices). Spa is fantastic and their treatments/therapists well worth it! Would gladly return.

We stayed at Shanti Maurice to celebrate a significant birthday and this hotel delivered perfectly. The villa, which was large and well appointed, was located on a spectacular, empty beach with stunning views and a plunge pool. It is hard to imagine a more amazing location. The staff were very welcoming and the service mostly excellent. I would love to stay there again.

The hotel is excellent. However, I must say: you will need to eat the meals at the hotels and it is very pricy. You can count $50 per person per meal. Plus, you can hear the room on your side, which make the experience not so good in some cases. Aside of these points, the hotel is excellent! The staff is really warm and helpful, the piscina and the spam are a dream and the restaurant is also excellent. I would return to there. However, is good to know that you will have problem with noise from other room and the pricy meals. The second point also happen is all the hotels in the island.

Overall brilliant, a lovely setting, clean and tidy, relaxed. The only thing that could be improved is the speed of bringing out food at the restaurants, particularly at breakfast where a couple of times the food was cold it took so long.

Staff were very rude. Slow check in. Room service not avaliable. No transportion. The Villa has good view.

My partner and I stayed in Shanti Maurice Resort from the 5th Feb to the 8th Feb this year. We have paid AU$ 339.04 (equals MUR 7904) for deposit for a set menu of dinner and the receptionist told us that the deposit will be returned to our account in 2 weeks time after we check out (we double checked if the deposit was refundable, and 3 receptionists confirmed with us that the deposit was refundable). It is been 3 weeks since we checked our your resort and so far the deposit has not been refunded to our account. I called the bank and they told me that the money has been transitioned by the resort. I emailed their Admin team a few times then I was told that the deposit was for non-refundable and the AU$ 339 was paid for 'supplement'???????. It was a fraud and It was a very frustrating situation as we truly enjoyed the resort and all the facilities and except the service. We also stayed in Lux Grand and Shangri-La before checking in Shanti Maurice. Both the resorts were awesome. If you have the budget for Shanti, simply book the other resorts. Save yourself the trouble.

We were very happy with choosing Shanti for a 5 day retreat to start our vacation in Mauritius. We were looking for some time away from civilization and this is what we got. We booked the hotel for the yoga classes which were very nice. We had booked only b&b and chose to eat from the a la carte options and that was slightly more expensive than the halv-board.

We really loved our stay at Shanti Maurice and enjoyed our holidays a lot! The resort was amazing, as well as the suites with the ocean view, the spa and the beach. At the restaurants we could really dine fine and the staff was so kind and polite that we would have stayed longer, if we could!:) We would really like to thank the reception front desk (Mrs. Melana) and the Stars/La Kaze Mama/Rum Shed Restaurant Team (Mr. Sanchay/Mr. Devisen/Mr. Avikesh/Mr.Tarish/Mr. Tewad and Mr. Vishou) and David from the Aqua Gym/Archery, it really was a pleasure meeting you all!!:) The offered activies such as Yoga, Aqua Gym, Stand Up Paddling, Archery, Snorkeling etc. are really recommendable and they were so much fun! We are thankful that we‘ve decided to book the Shanti Maurice resort because it was a unique stay at a fabulous resort!! Many thanks from room No. 108 - hope to see you somewhen again!!:)

Amazing Location in the South of the Island,situated on a scenic drive that hugs the costline and should be a drive in the guidebooks like The Californian Highway 1 as this is better!

Gorgeous hotel on lovely beach, varied and excellent dining options, super friendly and helpful staff, great gym, spa and pools. Everything beautifully maintained, this is it for my dream vacation.

We had a lovely and relaxing stay. Some of the restaurants were closed and it would have been nice to have this explained to us, but otherwise, our stay was excellent.

We then upgraded to a villa which was just a dream to be in.

Rooms were pretty ok, but a bit outdated and would say like a decent 4 star hotel. Food was ok, but extremely overpriced. Not even half or full board will give you a dinner as they have priced all dishes 200% over normal prices so you have to always pay extra. A pizza at the pool will cost you 20 euro, and you will not get full from it.. Decent angus beef will cost you 50 euro. Asking for a extra bottle of water to the room will cost you 20 euro in delivery service! We stayed at amazing hotels but this was not one of them..

A very quiet beautiful upmarket hotel with warm and friendly staff. The rooms are huge and exquisite with fantastic positions all on the beach. The swimming Beach was great, next to it is a fantastic pool and heated jacuzzi. The quality of the food was excellent . Gorgeous spaa in tranquil surrounds. If a quiet, restful and peaceful stay is what you are looking for this is the hotel for you.

We spent a lovely week. Everything was beautiful and wonderful. All the staff were friendly and kind. The grounds offer a variety of activities and restaurants yet with such a stunning beach all needed is there. The kid's club appealed to our 7 and 10 year olds. They toook our kids fishing and on a field trip....our kids begged to go to the kid's club...leaving us a few hours to hit the amazing spa or beach. We cannot wait to go back!
