Amazing food

Great staff and great rooms

We chose the Filly Inn after reading through previous reviews, it did not disappoint! Great service, great food, great drinks, great room. We stayed for one night the rooms come with everything you could need and more! The menu has such a great selection, so good it makes it hard to decide and makes you want to stay longer! The breakfast was top class as well! Such friendly staff too made it a perfect stay and would 100% go back

Lovely stay in a charming part of the new forest. The owner was wonderful and the breakfast we were served was so nice and made it feel very worth it to have stayed.

Great food and friendly staff. The room was cosy, comfortable and clean. However in mid January we were expecting the log fire to be on to keep us warm but it wasn’t which meant the bar and restaurant were pretty chilly!

One of the most comfortable, clean and pleasant hotels we have stayed in for a very long time. Holly and Dave must be praised for running such a splendid hotel in a lovely area. Food was great. Will be staying again.

This hotel is on the main Lymington road so the traffic passes non stop. The bedrooms have no windows except roof windows with electric blinds and as the rooms appear to be in roof space they have very thick and efficient fire doors but these are very noisy and shake the building. The rooms are well appointed, freshly made biscuits and a fridge with water and milk, the bathroom was clean. It was beautiful weather and the garden, which was lovely, was very busy but the staff were pleasant and coped well. The food was frozen pub grub, well presented and okay, I could see into the open modern kitchen and it was very clean. Dogs are welcome and almost all did, which can be overwhelming. My impression was that a decent hands on manager was required.

We stayed at The Filly Inn overnight after exploring parts of the New Forest. Although not in one of the villages it was on the main route. The staff were welcoming, the room was spotless and the homemade cookies as a welcome gesture was lovely. We had dinner and breakfast both meals were lovely and very filling. We would definitely return for another stay.

Stayed for 3 night B&B. Staff very attentive & friendly. Rooms are gorgeous! Cosy & great facilities.. Warm August sunshine & muggy at night, so the dyson fan was a welcome addition! Tea/coffee making facilities and freeview TV. Close to some lovely villages & the coast /IOW ferry

Fantastic getaway in the beautiful New Forest

We booked the hotel at short notice, on arrival the staff on duty welcomed us and showed us to our room which was really clean and very well appointed with lots of useful comfort items. Its a very dog friendly hotel and makes your stay much easier when you have your four legged friend. The breakfast was top notch and freshly cooked with a treat for our dog. We plan to return for a longer stay so we can enjoy the hotel and location fully.

You can feel the details of their service before you come and during your stay. Warm and very clean in every corner of the room. F&B is good not just dinning but even the breakfast.

The room and facilities were fantastic and all the little extras such as the home made facilities were amazing! Breakfast was delicious - and huge!

Absolutely fabulous place, very well appointed room, friendly efficient staff and great food. Also super friendly to dog owners and ramblers and cyclists.

Loved all the toiletries and the selection of tea and coffees which were so much nicer than the usuall ones you get. Fresh milk was an added bonus.Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly staff. Loved our stay and can't wait to go back.
