Good compared to most motels. Clean but in need of some repairs. Ok for inexpensive lodging. If a motel gets am 8 it would be a 7 for a hotel.

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, easy parking, continental breakfast in the a.m., friendly staff.

I'm "middle of the road" on this place. It was a quick one night "in transit" place to hang your hat.

The place sits back off the main highway in a nice wooded setting. We were just passing through on our way to Vermont and only stayed one night The rumors very nice and if we were in the area again, I would surely stay there again

Simple, clean, quiet, very comfortable bed, close to a wonderful Italian restaurant, friendly staff.

The rooms look like they were constructed in the 1970's. The furniture, walls, and floors are old and broken. I was afraid to sit on the sofa. The bed linens were clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable.

Great place to stay

A great option other than the nosiy hotels and children running up and down hallways. It was a very quiet and relaxing place to stay and when I come back to Salem in the future I will make sure to book a reservation for another room at this location.

My husband and I had a really good day close to Hampton Beach stores nonstop loved it went to go see a castle to Castles had such a great time. I would recommend this to anyone that wants to stay at inn end. Great time.

The room was spotless and the staff were very friendly. There is a lot of road construction in the area, so access to and from the motel was complicated in the dark. I like a king bed, but the mattress was not particularly comfortable. I have no complaints. It's definitely great value for the money.

Very nice, historic property. It was fun to stay in a fashioned, horse and buggy days hotel. I was very disappointed that the restaurant was closed during my entire stay. If I had known that would be the case I would have made other arrangements.

An 'old school' motel but very well maintained...off the busy highway with lots of foliage to hide the massive suburban mall surroundings.

Not really sure how this place is so highly rated? Don’t get me wrong.. it was OK for a motel, but when I see 8.5 stars, I was expecting exceptional. The room was clean enough, but not unusual. The beds were well worn. The pillows were well worn. The bedding was old, the decor was old, etc. The staff was super nice. The cleaning people were interesting. We just left our “Do not disturb” door hanger out all weekend. The WiFi was slowish, had trouble streaming at times. TV had a good selection of channels though. I wouldn’t avoid this place in the future, but I won’t seek it out either.

I've stayed here several times and I have never been disappointed. It is a great value, and close to everything in Salem!

Pleasant, well-kept motel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We slept well in the comfortable beds. Nothing fancy, but a pleasant place to stay.

Booked a room with 2 Queen beds for the family. When checked in, checking the room out we noticed the room was outdated (not really an Issue for us, but might be for others), and we found a bug that looked like a roach. I don’t think it was, but not sure what kind of pest/insect it was. One of the sheets was stained in a couple spots. The carpet and flooring were slippery, like they had just sprayed it with a sanitizing product, but used way too much. You could slide your shoe against the rug and see the residue. The room we were given had 2 Full sized beds. Brought this bed issue up with the front desk and was easily remedied to another room that had 2 Queen sized beds. This room appeared to be in better overall condition than the first room. Carpet and floor were clean and not slippery, no stains noted on the linen (the duvet had a burn mark on it. Wasn’t an issue for us), and no bugs/pest noted other than 1 spider found. Had enough hot water for the family to shower. Single use coffee pot worked as intended. Had a smaller (32”ish) smart TV in the room, but the remote wouldn’t work for the apps (Netflix, Tubi, etc) but worked for the cable provided channels fine. Overall the new room was fine for what it’s intended for. We needed to stay over just 1 night and it did it’s job, for 50% less than others in the area.
