Related Disclaimer: we had tried a different hotel for the weekend in Bethesda and ended up finding it riddled with bugs and w**d smells...
NOW, at the Hilton Garden, our room smelled clean and refreshing, almost of roses! :) It really made us reconsider finding this oasis again when we are back in the area next year. My mother and I really enjoyed staying at this pressed, clean, cared for hotel. We felt very safe here, and even hungout in the lobby for an hour before we left. This place has amazing service.

We got there at 11pm. Fred clearly disabled with walking stick and was given a room which was 901 at end of hallway. Only 2 ports on a lamp for electronics/cell phones/hearing aids/ beside bed.

Clean room, nice looking lobby. Second time here and the only real complaint would be the room AC units are noisy, especially when they kick on.

Everything was amazing about our stay. The service was excellent and the location very convenient. We were able to walk a very short distance to eat great food. During our stay we were treated to the beautiful Grand Opening of the remodeling of the Lobby, Bar, restaurant and meeting rooms.
The only lacking was in the bathroom in our room # 325 which had mold in the shower and stains on the bed cover.
We will return and request to view the room before unpacking.

The actual room was wonderful no complaints. To start the room and keycard was already in use, so I entered what was thought to be my room but two people were in there. Then I paid for parking 2x, my gate card worked for one day.
I had to ask cars behind me to back up so that I could to go back in Hôtel to get issue resolved.
Waited at desk a bit while the lady stood outside smoking a cigarette and talking to some guy that worked there. I tell her the issue, she’s says Oh it must’ve gotten authorized for only 1 day, happens all the time. Wow so tall just inconveniencing paying customers on the regular. I would probably stay again but not this location. Room was clean, no problems there. Just customer service could use some adjustments

Had to change rooms at 10:30 p.m. (would have stayed put after a long drive but a non-working toilet & seriously stained sheets nixed that). Toilet needed repairs in second room. Was not made aware hotel stripped down to bare bones functioning - barely and under construction. Part of family intending to stay there were unable to be checked in to to IT glitches, apparently partly global in nature but they booked directly through Hilton and had copy of their reservation and confirmation. This young family had 2 very young children in need of a nap after a 11 hour drive and attending a funeral. They ended up having to go to another Hilton in Silver Spring and pay a higher room rate. Grandma was unable to help with the kids during their stay. The parking was unacceptable to pay fees every in an out rather than just the daily rate. I had booked initially 3 night stay and checked out a day early as it became cost prohibitive and could not be of assistance to family as needed.

Ripoff on parking. Paid extra with the booking for parking to be included and was told they would validate parking at check in. At check out I was told they have no ability to validate parking. Absolute ripoff and employees will tell you whatever to keep it moving.

The hotel seemed run down and dirty. My room had a bad smell and and the sheets had a musty weird smell. didnt even want to take my shoes off! I read a few high 9.0 ratings on Hotels.com, which is why I chose this hotel. I have no idea why anyone would have given this a high rating unless they had never stated a hotel before. Checked out the next morning and decided to stay across the street at the Marriott resident Inn, which was 1000x better that hotel was clean and beautiful with lux amenities

We arrived to the hotel 7/12 at 0100. When we got into bed, we noticed the bedding reeked of sweat and body odor. Since it was so late, I doused the bedding in my perfume and we slept with towels atop the bedding and coverless for the night. The next morning, we notified hotel staff in person and requested a change of the entire bedding. The woman at the front desk said she would take care of it. We proceeded to carry on our day of sightseeing and left the hotel at 1100.
Upon our return from the day at 1700, the bed was made. However, the sheets were not switched out as they still smelled of my perfume and the original body odor/musk; I purposely checked for this reason. We called the front desk to request a change of sheets again. We waited for an hour, however no one came. We left the hotel for dinner reservations at 1850.
We just returned at 2230 to find new sheets folded and placed on the bed, however still made with the original dirty/musky ones. So is the expectation that we remove the sheets and remake the bed? We are paying for a hospitality service, that includes cleanliness. Staff making the bed with sheets that have evidently been used by another customer is unhygienic and quite frankly, disgusting.
On top of that, one elevator worked, front desk was unfriendly, hotel felt unkept. Would not recommend staying here.

The Hotels.com website and the hotel's site didn't state that renovations are taking place and many services wouldn't be available.That's not right! I wouldn't have booked that hotel if I knew, so Hotels.com is equally to blame. I asked for a $50 refund at the hotel and was told "no", and think Hotels.com to provide it as a refund to the credit card I used to pay for the hotel.

Hilton was not good. Double charged for parking which was 50% hotels.com’s fault. I was charged 50$ for parking when paying at hotels.com, and then had to pay 22 onsite. The front desk said I have to contact hotels.com and vice versa. Both companies were a rip off. I spent at least a couple of hours dealing with customer service and finally gave up. I got ripped off by hotels.com and Hilton. Neither on made it right and they just took the extra money. I wonder how many people they get with this hustle

Though we go booked thru deals, there is no parking, for parking we have pay $22 and everytime we go out and cone back they charge parking fees. Extra money for Breakfast, they didnt have many options too.

Property is remodeling so there's no onsite-restaurant at the moment. You can get a hot breakfast, buffet-style, $16/person. We ended up going elsewhere - there are plenty of good breakfast options within a short walk: Panera, Starbucks, Tatte, etc. Parking was $22/day, but no in-out privileges. Great location.

The room was great. Comfortable and clean. The ice machine on my floor was not working the entirety of my stay. The parking is ridiculous. The hotel should at least validate parking for guests rather than having to pay after every departure.

When I arrived I found that the hotel was under construction. Several amenities I expected are not available. I was in no way informed about this ahead of my stay. Staff didn't mention it when I checked in. There is a sign at the front door, but not at the door to the parking garage. Also no good place to pull up at the front door. Limited instructions on using the garage.

It would be great if Hilton would allow Honors member to use the Holton app with third party booking and would stop emailing customers as if they had. It been going on for years.

Our say at the Hilton Garden Inn was mediocre at best. We had a long delay flying and arrived late only to find that our prepaid reservation had been cancelled. The Staff was difficult to understand due to language barriers and were not helpful finding a solution. On top of that the hotel lobby was under construction - the bar was closed - The elevators were barely operational. I would not stay here again.

The best employee was the person who works in the breakfast area. They are a hard workers, and anticipate needs, is kind and shows a high sense of attention to detail. They were under construction and it we were not notified ahead of time. The Keys to the elevator and rooms did not work and every guest had to ask for new ones. Apparently they are upgrading so hopefully it will be fixed for other's visits. The Front Desk staff gave out wrong information, they are kind but need to be trained on details. The room was clean and the Housekeeper was sweet when I asked for a new towel. I was not notified that you had to request housekeeping if you stay multiple nights. So with some communicate it can be fixed.

The room was very nice. The customer service was not so nice. I requested that a blanket be brought to my room. It took four calls to get through the front desk. When I finally did person put me on hold. Later, the person told me that they would bring a blanket, but when I asked them when they said they did not know. There were problems with the room keys and the elevator keys.

I had a good time at Hilton Bethesda. The Room was clean, big, had everything you need. Unfortunatelly the do only have overhead shower heads. The metro and bus stations are near and the metro runs direct to union station. Its near the Capitol and also much bus tours start there. Would stay here again.

Had to have key replaced; had to call maintenance for air conditioner which didn’t work; no bathroom available in lobby area; was not informed ahead of time that renovations were in progress.

First of all, I would have appreciated a heads up on the renovations taking place. Second, on the Hotels.com website, the room was advertised for a pretty common price to other hotels in the area. I added breakfast buffet, which explained “hot breakfast” and parking for $67 extra. Much to our disappointment, the hot breakfast was not served. Rather, it was a very modest continental breakfast, definitely not worth the extra money. Finally, the parking was a fiasco. The validation machine was not working so had to bother the attendant to let us out each time, not to mention the different elevators and that lobby was on G2 from lot, but G in hotel.
While checking out, I asked for a refund for the breakfast at the front desk, manager included, I was told that both breakfast and parking were free, that I did not pay extra for them and therefore could not get a refund for breakfast. I explained that I did pay $67 extra for breakfast and parking. In the end, I had no proof as the receipt on Hotels.com now shows the breakfast buffet and parking were free. Again, that is not what I was offered or agreed to on Hotels.com the day before.
