Always comfy and beautiful view priced right

Wanted room for 3 with kitchen. First room showed unable to unlock door. Electronic door lock should have been replaced yrs ago. Second room ok at first. 1 drawer in kitchen missing bottom.Faucet was corroded and no water. Fire alarm no battery backup, power was lost. Window facing ocean leaked badly. No kitchen utensils, pans, one pot I wouldn't dream of using. Saw a few 6 legged brown guys. Third room would be ok for 1 night stay.

All I needed was a place to hang my hat on Flagler beach overnight. I got their cheapest room at $60 bucks. It appeared to be relatively clean. My germ pet peeve is tv remotes. I always wipe them down with disinfectant, the paper towel was dirty afterward. Hot water was Luke warm at best. I’m sure the more expensive rooms are a bit nicer but all in all if you want a place to hang for a night or two, Topaz works for the price.

Horrible. Smelled of rotten mold. Do not recommend.

Beautiful ocean views at The Topaz! Originally it was a mansion built in 1926 and while it has changed quite a bit over the years, you can still look around and imagine what it was like back its day.

We love The Topaz Motel, we stay there every time we go to Flagler Beach. It's the best place to stay at a good price. The staff there is amazing. They're all very nice. Very nice family run the hotel and do a great job. Anything you need, They try to accommodate the best I can they can. The view from pretty much all the rooms is THE OCEAN!! Can't beat it. When you open your sliding glass door all you hear is crashing waves.. The memorabilia and everything that they have in the main hotel It took me like 23 hours to walk around the place. It's really interesting. You know I The history of the hotel came in who used to own it and all those things you don't even realize where you're staying they have an The history of the hotel, how it came to be The Topaz, who used to own it, and it's just very cool when you read all about it even before you visit. We used to drive by the hotel and say look at that dump ha ha!! Now, that's the only place we will stay at!! it's like the coolest place to stay and it's very accommodating it. The rooms are nice Most of them have been refurbished. They have a nice pool out front. The beach is literally right across A1A. Which is only 2 lanes, (not busy) and anytime we've been there, we just walk slowly across the road to the beach! Check it out next time you're in town!!

We always have a great stay at the Topaz Motel. It is an older hotel with lots of memorabilia and really cool things and items to look at when you go inside the main building. I probably spent I don't know a couple hours and everything taking pictures and stuff and it's just it's just really cool if you like things that are like antiques and stuff like that, they have a pool out and outside, I think every room that they have overlooks the beach or you see the beach right there. It's right across there's like one street is A1A. There's like two lanes skipping jump north the beach you can hear the waves crashing from your room. It is just a very cool place to stay , the manager and anybody that works there or whatever they are very very nice helpful. They will try that you know do whatever they can to make you comfortable with your stay. Our room Had a full refrigerator/Freezer. So we were able to bring a lot of food with us and not have to spend a lot of money when we were there eating out. It's just all around adventure at the Topaz Motel if you can have a positive outlook that you write on the beach for a decent price cheap price sometimes it's all worth it. It's well worth it.

This is an inexpensive motel that appears to be doing renovations as they go. The floors and bathroom appeared to have new tile, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The lighting was poor and the electric switches were odd. TV was newish but the channels offered were mostly sports, news and music videos. I stay here every few weeks when i need to catch up on sleep or do some internet work. I like this place and so far I'm happy with it.

It was conviently located at the beach

The property is a sweetly maintained time machine of a bygone era, even museum like in its historic decor. If one eschews arm candy five star hotels And is more of a mom pop economy, budget type of person, then this is a safe and excellent choice.

terrible , left 1 day earlier. smell in the room make us sick. bath tub was so dirty you can write your name on it with your finger. curtains in the room had blood stains condition of the bathroom vanity was deplorable front door lock was broken

You may wash the curtains and mop the floor on the bedrooms to much dust

Old Mansion with new and old world charm. Staff was excellent.

This historic relic stands right on the ocean with incredible views from every room! The staff are caring and friendly and the atmosphere is perfect for relaxing in the sun.

Nice people but needs work on the rooms

The staff at the Topaz were friendly, helpful and accommodating. They made sure we always had fresh towels and asked us daily if everything was alright.

I typically stay there with no problem but the last couple of times have been bad. One time fleas were in my room and I was told there was nothing wrong. This last time a worker said some racist and inappropriate things to me. Then he looked into my car at one point and at one point commented that he was the one that went into my room and he likes me. That he has my number. Made me very uncomfortable. I like it out there but because of this last visit I will not be going back ever again.

Property was clean. Just across street from ocean. Walking distance to retaurants. Staff was very friendly and accomadating. Could use some upgrading but for the price and location it was worth the money.

It looks nothing like the pictures. It’s rundown and in serious need of repair. It’s so bad wet didn’t stay. Whom ever is giving it high ratings is being paid. Awful, wouldn’t leave my pets stay there.

We always book a room with a Kitchenette and always bring our dog. This time was no different. We booked our stay around 8pm as we planned this as a last minute weekend getaway. Once we arrive the person at the desk said we couldn't stay in the room we booked because we had our dog with us. Now they show pet friendly on hotels.com and on their website, NOWHERE does it say no animals are allowed in the room we booked and we had to pay a $40 pet fee. They said we just couldn't stay in THOSE rooms with a dog, well if that's the case that should be listed when booking the room!! They were not willing to refund us the price difference for the cheaper room they wanted to put us in and were not willing to give us a refund as we decided we didn't want to stay due to the horrible customer service. Now we are having to fight for a refund as we didn't even stay at the hotel due to the terrible customer service and the room they tried to put us in reeked of cigarette smoke and was dirty

Dont stay here with your family. It is a dirty low class joint.

We are so grateful to find these last minute accommodations as we'd spent the day looking for a new home. We went ahead and upgraded our room as we found the basic accommodations to be kind of weary and wanted a view. I would stay here again because it is very budget friendly and it is across the street from the beach. But most importantly, the staff goes above and beyond to accommodate any requests that they can possibly accommodate. I have a soft spot in my heart for these old antique-like hotels that have this charm that cant really be replicated. But the front desk staff and the lady that was also there were beyond nice and just because of their hospitality I would return. Our room was on a top floor with a large private balcony. Although outdated, I enjoyed the antique feel and the antiques that were left in the room. You get what you pay for and I'm very grateful for the staff there. I hope that they are treated well and are compensated for their efforts. Will be back soon.

Motel is old and dingy but right across the road from such a beautiful ocean.
