We recently stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is located a couple of miles outside the town centre in a mainly residential area (handy supermarket next door and a nice Italian restaurant very close). A real positive is that the hotel is a 2 minute walk from the tram stop with a regular service into the town on line 1 which takes 10 minutes and is very easy to use.The hotel staff on the front desk were very pleasant and couldn’t have been more helpful. The breakfasts were also of a good standard with plenty of variety. Our room on the 1st floor was at the back of the hotel and overlooked a school playground. The room itself had a nice modern bathroom and the metal shutters ensured enjoyed a good level of privacy and sleep quality. Our only criticism of the room would the slightly dated appearance and lack of a carpet (Lino tiles I think). Overall though, for the price and excellent staff, we would recommend the horel

The room was suitable for the price and the staff was wonderful. The hotel is situated a short walk to the bus which is a 10 minute ride to the center. The parking is gated and secure.

One of the stops between is Freiburg rail and bus station, with rail services all over Germany and to Switzerland. Bus service to Basel airport in an hour. Ample variety breakfast in clean large room. Good Supermarket and Italian restaurant next door. Rooms very clean. All staff very helpful. Free internet at Reception with free mulled wine, chocolates and nuts during Christmas 2017. Champagne with New Year Breakfast. Reception not manned 24 hours but keys provided. Free Wi-Fi.

I went to Freiburg to meet up with Family. Unfortunately their flight out of the US was delayed 2 days (never fly Condor airlines). The hotel staff was amazing at working with us changing the room situation and didn't charge my family for the days they had to cancel even though they could have based on the cancellation policy. When my family finally did arrive, they had requested a triple room but there wasn't one available. No problem, the staff made a double room into a triple. The staff were all amazing and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this property to others. They took a very bad experience and made it a bit better.

Friendly and helpful staff, nice comfortable and clean room. Parking was free and we had a wonderful breakfast in the morning.

The hotel is right next door to a great Italian restaurant. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to a train stop that will take you into downtown. The rooms were very clean and the hotel offers a great buffet breakfast. Definitely worth a stay!

Our first trip to Friberg and we thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely go back again. Hotel was comfortable and clean and staff very helpful. The restaurant next door was good and looked after us well during our stay.

We stayed for one night on our road trip through Germany and this hotel was reasonably easy to find and had car parking. Staff were very informative and helpful in spoken English. The Hotel and room was clean, tidy and very modern in appearance. Free WiFi. Good breakfast. Local shops, restaurant and the tram stop to the town conveniently located nearby.

Owner was extremely helpful. He gave us a quick round up of the area and a tram ticket. Everything about this place was good and I don't praise easily.

A great base for exploring Freiburg, a minute's walk from the tram and 10 minutes into the Altstadt. Very quiet, and the staff extremely friendly.

It was a great B&B - the owners were very helpful and friendly, its location is very close to the old city gates and the breakfast was the best we had in Germany! The rooms are very spacious and clean too.

Parking was an issue as there weren't enough spaces for the guests so had to park on the street. For the price we had expected better- small dated room, discoloured carpet and poor shower, no fan or a/c and was very warm even at start of September. faint smell of cigarettes from outside, noisy in morning being next to park. Breakfast was good(inc mozzarella salad, meats, fresh fruits, yoghurt etc) only one lady doing it all so tables weren't cleared though. Supermarket nearby open late, tram stop 2mins from hotel and 5mins to town.

Breakfast / staff are great, best I've seen in a while. The 'hotel' is almost like an old 1980's school building, the room we had could do with some love - functional, but expensive for what you got really. They have good parking facilities.

This is a wonderful small hotel in very nice area north of the city center near the university. Free parking and WiFi is a plus. The hotel is very clean, breakfast buffet is excellent. Christof, who speaks excellent English, gave us many good ideas for things to do. He also gave us a great idea and printed out maps for a scenic route to Stuttgart rather than a boring autobahn drive. All the staff of the hotel were outstanding. Even though there is no elevator, access was easy. I highly recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Convenient, clean, friendly service, good breakfast buffet. Close to Train station, Old city and University. Economical for Zurich. I would recommend to anyone visiting Zurich.

The hotel is good value, clean and the staff are all friendly and very helpful. The loction isn't quite what we were expecting but the tram is close by. If we went back we'd consider staying a bit closer to the centre if the cost isn't too much more. Overall a good experience and the breakfast is superb!!!
