Property location is perfect for day trips. Room walls are thin, could easily hear the conversation of next door guests. Refrigerator did not maintain temperature below 40 degrees.

Friendly staff, beautiful location, clean and quiet.

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Cadence Lodge. We had an excellent meal there the first night. We viewed the property and it's facilities and we're very impressed. The room was clean, comfortable and in good working order. We liked the Ski themed decorations in our room. The lodge offers a gas outdoor grill, a wonderful enclosed patio with power, water and a built in fireplace. You could bring your own steaks, cook them and eat outdoors. Staff there is friendly and accommodating to your needs. We will stay here again.

Comfortable and nicely decorated room and bed. The only suggested improvement would be thicker drapes to block the early morning sunlight. Loved the shared outdoor space on the property and the convenience to walk around town. Delicious breakfast and friendly service.

The rooms are very nicely and efficiently organized, and the service is outstanding. The dinners are of gourmet standard and the location under Whiteface is unrivalled. Plus, the village of Wilmington and its immediate surrounds are very attractive.

Nice cozy place to stay, the owner and staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is available on weekends and was super good. The location is great, 6 minutes from Whiteface Mountain, yet also a quiet relaxed area.

The “bunk” room is awesome! We are a family of three with a dog, and it was perfect amount of space for us. It can easily fit a family with 4 children. The restaurant no-site was wonderful! It’s so cute, and the food was delicious. So happy that they have added the restaurant now. We will definitely be back!

The staff are amazing. Having a warm place to stay while hiking in the mountains (with a dog as well) is a luxury and Cadence delivers. Also the breakfast and dinners are fabulous.

A great place to stay. Staff is super friendly and helpful Room very clean, bed very comfortable, loved the entryway nook to hang your coats boots, ski bags, etc. Convenient $10 takeout breakfast bags worth it. The homemade breakfast on Saturday and Sunday is excellent. about 2 1/2 miles to Whiteface. All in all and excellent choice.

Cadence Lodge is a wonderful place to stay for a short weekend or an extended stay. The owners, Shelley and Don, are terrific hosts, are very attentive, and have made this lodge feel so cozy, comfortable, and clean. The home cooked breakfasts and dinners are excellent. We never want to leave when it’s time to check out, and neither does our dog who loves it just as much as we do. This is our go-to place to stay in Lake Placid.

The Cadence has become our go to place when hiking in the ADK. Awesome people, terrific setting, great restaurant on site.

Clean and friendly

Overall my stay was amazing! One of the nights people on either side of me had dogs that were barking and just would not shut up for about 2 hours until the owners came back. Thankfully they were only there for the night. Check in process was quick and easy, we were told about the complementary weekend breakfast (an actual hot cooked meal not just stale bagels and cereal) and nightly dinners for guests with a small bar. Food was great! And decently priced. we missed the good weather to sit out by the small outdoor firepit due to rain, but they did also have an enclosed gazebo with a propane fireplace with plenty of seating which was nice to relax in. The room we stayed in (26) was a decent size for including a king bed. There was a pass through for an adjoining room option (27) we only stayed in 26 however but the lock between the rooms seemed adequate. There was a small fridge/freezer for convenience inside what i would assume to be an old closet (several coat hooks in this area) the bathroom was a decent size but could be bigger in my opinion but it got the job done. shower was clean and pressure and hot water were adequate. the bed was not as comfortable as others ive slept in (to me the center seemed high and the edges seemed low could have been a new mattress that wasnt broken in yet for all i know) but the blankets were nice and warm. There were 3 different firmness pillows for each side plus a few throws for lounging the tv seemed to have a lot of channels.
