I liked the room which was quite large and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent.

The stay for one night was very pleasant. Mark was very welcoming and clear about the accommodation and local facilities. The room was really comfortable and clean.

A lovely bed and breakfast with very friendly hosts. Very clean and tidy with nice decor. The aduslts only policy is a bonus as it was very quiet. The location is within walking distance of the beach, the bus and railway stations as well as the restuarants in the old town.

The Richmond is a wonderful b&b with faultless service through and through. The only slight niggles were the car parking which can be a little tricky to negotiate (but we did park on-site for our entire stay) and the size of the room, as we had the smaller double room. It was still big enough to accommodate both of us, but there was no storage space but we knew this in advance. Otherwise it was superb - Mark and Caz are wonderful, friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were lovely and it is in a great location for the centre of Shanklin, and only a few minutes walk from the old village. It is also by far the cleanest b&b we have ever stayed in. Faultless.

Good location for all parts of town for beach, walks, shops, theatre. Parts of town are a bit run down.

Upon our arrival we were greeted by Mark who checked me & my Husband in for a 3 night stay as it was the weekend of our wedding anniversary,we were shown upto our room & i must say what a pleasant suprise this was it was immaculate to say the least.Mark & Caz his lovely wife were very helpful& made our stay a very pleasant one nothing was too much trouble for this lovely couple,the breakfast were cooked to perfection & the rooms were cleaned daily cant fault this b&b we will be returning next year.

Decor throughout was lovely. The breakfast room had plenty of space with a nice sized table and very decorated in a bright colour. We had room 10 which was a good size and comfortable, personally I would have like more table top space for my

First time Isle of Wight and what a little gem of a place to stay ,every thing was of a very high standard and a great price .Brilliant

Loved our stay here, unfortunatly we arrived at the end of March hoping to see some of the attractions but they don’t open until mid April.

Lovely hotel, really nice breakfast, hosts very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay there again.

Shanklin: The Richmond Hotel Bed & Breakfast lovely well presented homeHome & life, Is exactly what it is in a family settingIn a family setting you have great comfort, food appears to come to you in a very clean and well catered for manner, service some what, wanting an opinion of customer satisfaction ummm, they would not go a miss from speaking to local butchers about produce, produce of clean food but no local values, wipe of marker pens for day out on their folder map, and more security of being a family orientated business on belongings, dust was another fault, I would advice a flat handled, flat cloth folding slide branch in which all services have for hard to reach places under beds, for anyone allergic, I would also add blinds, their security runs in line with Ariel braker in which controls viewing, In my opinion of my stay, they should also have ansilary bins in the bathroom and no over head dumb light over shower, especially when it is not a sealed unit, but other then that and shoe problems, I had a fantastic family stay at Shanklin

We were made very welcome. Because of the limit to space, cars needed to be parked in front of one another and keys left for the owner to move the car if necessary. We fully appreciate the need to do this and could see no alternative. Undoubtedly, the owner is a skilled driver and insured. However, it would have been nice not to have needed to do this. In no way did this take away from our enjoyment.

An amazing 4 days at the Richmond B&B. Mark Kaz were fantastic, really helpful and genuinely lovely people, if you want to see red squirrels they kmow the places to go. Food was really nice too. Good size room with all you could need (if there was one thing i would have liked was a small fridge in the room, there was plenty of space for one, but this is really being picky) overall a wonderful stay. Well done and thank you.

Very well situated in Shanklin close to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. A 5 minute walk to the beach. The room was very spacious with a sitting area with TV. Bathroom was clean but only has a electric shower with not much water pressure.The major downside was breakfast was only between 8.00- 8.30 and had to be ordered the night before. If Id known this I would not have booked as when on holiday I dont want to have to get up at 7.30 every morning for breakfast, we felt we had to fit in with the owners requirements.

We had a great stay at The Richmond, welcoming and friendly owners, fantastic location, 5 min walk to beach and the old town. Off road parking. We will be back for sure.
