The property was clean and comfortable. We had a very late check in. We had no idea they were resurfacing the parking lot. I had called earlier in the day to verify our stay. The staff person didn't mention it. So at 12:30 we had to figure out where to park. The front desk person wasn't much help in that regard. Other than that, our stay was really good. I would recommend the hotel.

I have visited this same hotel twice in less than a month, and the parking lot is still closed. Honestly, this is terrible, and now that it’s open, all the spots are reserved for a supposed Vietnamese café (which, by the way, is awful). It’s very inconvenient to have to park across the street. The hotel should do something about this.

Close to KU Medical Center

The hotel itself is fantastic—extremely clean, modern, and everything feels nearly brand new. However, our experience during check-in on Friday night was disappointing. The receptionist, Edy, was rude, impatient, and lacked empathy. He was constantly on the phone chatting and refused to help when I asked for assistance, simply saying, "No, no, no, it's almost midnight, and the hotel is booked." All I needed was an extra towel, but he was completely uncooperative. Additionally, the parking lot was under repair, so we had to park across the street. It's unfortunate that the poor attitude of one employee negatively impacted our otherwise pleasant stay at the hotel.

We enjoyed our stay! They had a great breakfast selection. We will definitely return.

This hotel is fine. It was generally clean, the rooms are good sized, and the amenities are acceptable. But the price for this hotel is outrageous. I travel quite a bit for work and I’ve stayed in plenty of places that are just as nice as this place for half the price. Feels very much like they are taking advantage of folks who need to be close to the hospital in difficult times. (Which is why I was there). In addition, I mentioned the construction in the parking lot when I went to check in and was wondering why I didn’t get a notice ahead as I have experienced elsewhere. I had 2 people with me who have difficulty walking distances. The clerk got very defensive and rather than just empathizing and moving on, which I would’ve accepted happily, he just became crabby. Overall was not impressed.

The construction in the parking lot was really a hassle to find a parking place. Very inconvenient and as guests I believe we should have been notified ahead of time of this issue.

Front counter help was rude. Several vehicles were broken into in the parking lot. No way would I stay there again

Location to UKMC

The room had plenty of space. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had plenty of options. We were able to easily get to everywhere we wanted to go in Kansas City.

No hairdryer in the room. When I called guest services I was told the hotel was booked and he couldn’t just go into a room and get one. Hmmmm okay but shouldn’t all rooms have a hair dryer or at least make sure one is there when you clean it for the next guest??? 🤔

It is convenient to KU Med.

Got in very late after flight delays but there was the counter guy at 1 am. He was great…meaning fast and efficient. My 2nd stay here while my daughter is hospitalized nearby. Excellent IHG hotel

Great hotel with delicious continental breakfast!

The beds and air conditioning where perfect!

It was very noisy & hard to sleep because of the traffic & you could hear all of the people in the other rooms really late until after midnight. We only stay here because the location is perfect when we have to be at KU med early in the morning for appointments & procedures. The breakfast also is nice.

Great location for a nearby bbq place we tried. Watch where you park. Signs must say hotel parking for that section.

Great stay. Breakfast was good but the sausage could have been cooked longer. Very quite and peaceful.

The stay was good but it was very noisy. You can hear everything in the hallways, including your obnoxiously drunk neighbors coming back at 4am. The breakfast bar had a good selection and was convenient.

So close to the hospital and stage was very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable

My stay was excellent. Timothy at the front desk was friendly and had some solid tios on local eateries. Breakfast was good, and the rest of the staff friendly and accommodating.

Had two days of appointments at the hospital so it was very nice to go across the street to our room and relax

We like the fact that it is very convenient to the hospital. It alway has friendly staff & it's very clean.

In the website there is a pool but they don’t have a pool in the property

Good variety of restaurants within walking distance. Really spacious accessible room and nice roll-in shower. Bathroom vanity could be better (couldn't roll up to sink fully in power wheelchair). Plenty of electrical outlets.

Comfiest bed and best night of sleep I’ve gotten in a hot minute! The free breakfast was worth it also.
