We stayed here for our first time in Phuket and it was absolutely amazing. We loved it! They upgraded us to their private pool room and we couldn’t fault it at all, it was magical. Eve was very nice and welcoming when we checked in and all the staff were very accommodating and always making sure we were ok. One of the best hotels definitely recommend it.

We used some travel YouTubers for info to choose your resort. They undersold it, the room was amazing and the restaurants are impressive. We didn’t know service and people could be so great. We will be back when traveling to Phuket

Friendly staff and overall good service. The facilities and the common areas are great and well maintained however the room is quite old and not exactly at the level of 5 star hotel. They upgraded our room to a villa. The location is not a walkable distance then you need 300-400bath each time to move around.

This property boats of natural and tranquil settings. Absolutely loved our stay. Staff were friendly and the breakfast options were plenty. The Indian restaurant at this hotel does amazing food and the staff are very kind and gave us a 5* service. The only downfall was that we had access to a shared pool and we found that the pool was covered in leaves that fall from a nearing tree which was the main reason we did not get to use the pool. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in a relaxing atmosphere away from the noisey centre of patong.

Hotel staff are very friendly, helpful and kind. The rooms are clean and comfortable, love the design of the room. Had dinner at Sizzle one of the hotel restaurant, love the Wagyu steak. Facilities are in great condition. They also provide free shuttle bus to different locations in Phuket. Would recommend staying here if you're looking for a quiet place, 5 mins drive from Patong.

Simply lovely! This stay has been one of the best ones so far Ive been to, incredible architecture and accurately built area in and around the entire land covering every scenic area, incredible and mostly peaceful, quite and enjoyable to take a good rest from the busy world, and exceptional service and 24-hr buggy service is appreciated as it takes 2 mins to get to your villa on the buggy, so its very useful but I couldn’t appreciate this service more as the buggy service is very much not operational unless you go find out the driver at the entrance and only 1 person around 12 am and it could be little awkward if more than 2 people are waiting to get to their room and only 2 ppl can fit in it, so you gotta wait if you are a outgoing person
Breakfast was good, many cool options provided and deserts too, but could have been better at those deserts section and the fruits section, not many options but the entire breakfast menu was satisfying and enjoyable, along with outside pool view is very well structured!
We took a jacuzzi suite and loved it but I found my room to be a little old and dusty here and there, the lighting could be removed with all blue and red colours which doesnt add up to the interiors and doesnt make sense to have less lighting and blue colours in our shower, the door for bedroom and restroom is too old and I believe this furniture was a little old and it doesnt close easily or open comfortably, probably staff could use some oil to make it work correctly,

Pros:
1. Nice outdoor pools with really great views
2. Quiet location
Cons:
1. Everything in the hotel was wet and humid. Our room was humid all the time and smelled like mold despite AC running all the time. My passport got wrinkly as if it was washed after staying in the room for a week.
2. Hotel food and cocktails were just mediocre. For a fraction of the price one could get so much better food elsewhere, even in a small family owned cafe across the street
3. Sun loungers near the pools were always wet and dirty

The managers Jag and Golf were amazing. Love this hotel when I do visit again I will stay with them again. Housekeeping was awesome. I got really sick and they helped me out I loved that and appreciate the staff tremendously. Thank you ohhhh sooo much!!!!

Overall good, but front desk are not usually answering the phone quick and most of the time their phone is busy. The first room we got was not a 5-star hotel room, old and dirty and the shower was not drain properly. The manager gave us a new room, much better. The safe box didnt work but they fix it after few times try.

A little disappointed because the front desk service is not efficient. My check in time was at 2:00 pm but the room was only ready at 3:30 pm. Also, the drainage in the toilet had a bad odour.
However, the food in their restaurant is delicious and the staff in charge of keeping luggage were really nice and polite.

First part of our Thailand trip and we are sad to leave. Beautiful grounds and stunning food. Jee and Hong at the kids club were extremely friendly and helpful, giving lots of tips whilst my daughter carried out activities. The hotel was close to freedom beach and the views from the hotel were stunning. Would go back in a heartbeat

This resort was absolutely AMAZING. We missed our connecting flight due to other flight delays and when I called to notify them that we would be arriving around 2am, they went above and beyond to still greet us with a warm welcome (and man, did we need it!). Our room was a king room with private access to our pool and jacuzzi tub. That was a very nice treat. The staff was GREAT. Shout out to Yazz who helped us to our room at 2am! Every question we had, whether about the resort or surrounding area, was answered perfectly and quickly by staff. The breakfast was standard; nothing really fancy. The views from the main infinity pool were breathtaking. Rancho the bartender was super friendly and made us some great cocktails. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay. If I had to give any recommendation to this resort it would be two things:
1. Up the lighting within the room. While there were switches for absolutely everything, there was no light whatsoever in the shower and the overall lighting in the room was extremely dim. Can be personal preference, but throwing that out there.
2. While we did select the room with a private walkout to our pool, I wish it had just a bit more access to the mountain views that our room was facing. The privacy hedges were extremely tall and blocked the view almost entirely, which also didn't help the lighting situation in the room.
Glad we booked our stay with Avista and would definitely come back here.

That was our second time within a year at this hotel, we obviously came back because it was amazing last year. Everything important in a hotel is great at Avista, the rooms, the pool, the food etc.. But I'll state the staff, from the managers, the front desk to the pool, dining room... Always helpful, smiling and aiming for you comfortable and enjoyment as a guest. Thank you Matt, Jag, Eve. And all the others that made us feel amazing and of course we will see you again

Avista is a great resort! My partner and I enjoyed our stay. Just to clarify the resort is an hour away from the airport and if you go into town the taxis will want to charge you more because the resort is “up the hill”

High class hotel in a great setting overlooking the jungle and the beach. I was upgraded to a pool villa which was very nice. There is a free buggy service to move you around the complex. The layout of the site could be made easier to understand by having better marketing materials in the room. I don’t think I visited everywhere as it’s like a maze! Maybe an app would be a good idea for the hotel to consider or better signage. Other than that the staff were all really friendly. The mini bar bill was a little confusing and I’m fairly sure I was overcharged however I didn’t have time to properly go though it so I’m not 100%. Either way, highly recommend. Patong is only 5 minutes by taxi and costs around £5 each way.

We very much enjoyed our time and believe this place to be a superb hotel. Not sure why it doesn’t get more attention but there’s nothing to complain about. Restaurant food especially breakfast is fantastic and service was great.

Really lovely resort with good quality areas and a lot to choose from. Let down by consistent pushing from staff to give ‘positive reviews’ which take away from the beauty of the place. Also, no turn down and had to ask for our room to be made up on both days.

This was our first time back to south east Asia in 30 years and it did not disappoint. The hotel is excellent with superb pools and views. We stayed in an executive pool access room which is highly recommended. Being able to go straight from your room into the pool without having to think about sun beds was superb!
The staff are all fantastic but I have to mention Jag who went above and beyond to make our stay so memorable. He was a true professional and if you are lucky enough to stay at this resort he is your go to person! I also have to mention Vishal and Goldi in the Vista Restaurant - they were so friendly and always happy to help. Finally I have to thank Tong and Kaew at the Chiva Riverside bar - always smiling and made delicious cocktails!

I couldn’t have asked more for my birthday vacation. The property is beautiful, quiet, and offers some of the best food on the island at Tambu Restaurant. Above all else was the service I received from all of the staff and how comfortable they made me feel. If you’re deciding on where to stay, stop looking and book here, you won’t regret it.

Overall excellent resort. The service, restaurants, and facilities were excellent. Only a few very minor points: Each morning my room was made up, something was different/missing (e.g. glasses not replaced, toilet paper not refilled, etc.). I also noted a few minor repair issues, e.g. the faucet in the men's room at the adult's only pool was in need of repair. Very minor points that shouldn't color my overall visit, which was excellent.
