This is the third time that I stayed in Allamanda. The hotel employees were very hospitable and nice as always. This time I was given a bigger signle room in the older building. The floor was always very clean and comfortable, while bed-side tables had a bit dusty. Personally I prefer more lightings in the room, as I work with a computer in the room. Nevertheless, room-pricings are very good for its quality, and for many problames in Haiti, they are doing very well. Especially I love the hospitality of the staff.

We were so glad we were referred to this hotel! The owners were gracious, and staff was attentive. The property was clean, and in a good location with 2 groceries in close walking distance. Also in very close proximity to some great restaurants that we were able to try, in addition to the excellent one on site (we were in Haiti for a 2-week stay so we wanted to try some local restaurants). We will definitely recommend Allamanda Hotel to others that we know traveling to the area!

My experience at this hotel was fantastic and more than what I expected. Haiti is a poor country and I really did not expect much. But, I was pleasantly surprise by the kindness, the extraordinary service, and the care on fulfilling all my request. I will go back to this hotel again for these reasons: - Free Full Hot Breakfast - Free Wi-Fi - Ground transportation for a very minimal fee - Ability to rent a car right on the hotel ground with chauffeur if needed. I thank all the staff and the owner of Allamanda Hotel for all they have done to make my stay amazing and relax.

To be honest, if you are staying in Port-au-Prince, this is really important. A larger hotel would have been an error by missing out on this personal service. We cant recommend this hotel enough. The restaurant/bar area was very good, the rooms were very comfortable, and the hotel in general had a very nice feel.

Everything was outstanding from the arrival until my departure. This hotel is close of markets, restaurants and many places to visit. The hotel owner Madame Viviane is all time inquiring the visitors about their stay and if they can help us. Their taxi agency is one of the best and their navette airport to hotel and hotel to airport is more than appropriate. For my next trip to Haiti, I have no doubt at all that I will again reserve at Allamanda Hotel. Thank you to all of you for this fantastic week without any problems. You are the best.

Such a great stay here. Everything exceeded my expectations. Staff were friendly and prompt in answering email inquiries for taxi reservations. Very clean by normal standards and exceptionally so for Haiti.

Its a nice hotel. It has hot water and AC. It is a bit hard to find so pay close attention to the signs not the GPS :) The owner is very friendly.

Service is very personalize, staff do go above and beyond to make you happy! Overall great!

Cons: It was not a bedbed, it was 2 beds put together so I kept falling into the crack of the bed and the bottom sheet wasnt fitted/ nor did it cover the whole bed. The water was brown. They say there is parking, but it was street parking until the night time. Ive stayed in worse places in this area for $100 a night so I wouldnt completely write it off in the future.

We have enjoyed our stay at Allamanda every time we go so much that it is the only place that we want to go. You cannot find better service anywhere in Haiti!

this was the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. I live in the U.S. A. first I would start off by saying this review is in now way about the staff they were wonderful. the hotel manger however is a different story. when I got there she told me my room wasn't available because the guest didn't want to leave. I was not happy at all. first of all I had already paid in full for my booking through hotels.com and then for her to try and give me a room I did not pay for was very upsetting to me. then when I sat there for like 30-35 min for them to actually find me a room the room was not at all in a condition that I would've like to stay in. The tv was very tiny and omg they claimed to have international channel's. No they did not!! the Tv barley got any channels at all!! and when it did get channels the tv kept freezing so basically I had no TV the entire time I was there. The room had roaches and the shower was not a pleasant experience at all. The water got every where every time I took a shower. Then they clamined to have free breakfast but charged me for it in the end of my stay. The woman at the desk asked me if I wanted my laundry done so I said yes. Not one time did she mention there was a charge nor does anywhere on the listing for the hotel say there is a charge. Then on top of all of this there were power outages!! When I bought all of this to the hotel manger attention she had the nerve to tell me Haiti is an expensive place. seriously!!

The best thing about this hotel is the wonderful people who are running it; from the owner who responds to all your inquiries from before the time you arrive to the time you leave to the ladies and gentlemen who assist her in managing the front desk and the grounds to the beautiful ladies who take care of the kitchen and provide you with a hearty breakfast. The room is clean and spacious, the breakfast is hearty, and the location is central, although it is better you keep in mind that walking is not advisable because of the hills of the city and to be patient with traffic.

This hotel was excellent, the staff are very very attentive. The owner Vivanne at this hotel was exceptional she also aided me when I needed to go out. I have stayed at many hotels because I visit often but this one will keep me coming back. The area is calm and quiet, the beds are always freshly made I def give them 5 stars.

Every thing was outstanding. The staff was pleasant and very helpful and met all of my needs. The breakfasts were prepared timely and was seasoned well. The fresh fruit and juices were very good as well.

This place is a true find in Port-au-Prince, particularly for the affordable price. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, comfortable and well-designed rooms, yummy breakfast, a great location in Petionville, and a shuttle from the airport available upon request. What more could you ask for?

Allamanda is very small - apart from your room there is only one other space, that serves as breakfast room, lobby and lounge. But the rooms are comfortable, and you will get a very attentive and personalized treatment. I would return.
