Please don't even think of travelling to St. Marten unless you're going to stay at the Toad. When I arrived, four out of the eight suites were occupied by "regulars" who had been coming there for years. I found out why. A stunning view right on the water, steps to the warm sea. A parade of yachts going by. Always something to see. I enjoyed watching planes taking off and the sound was not bothersome.And then there's Debbie and Dan. You couldn't ask for nicer people. The nightly happy hour was a wonderful opportunity to chat with fellow travelersI didn't even rent a car for my six day visit. I walked to stores and restaurantsYou'll be happy to stay there!

As being First Time Visitors to St Maarten, Cherry meet us out late when we got there due to some airline Delays and gave us the lay of the land. The waves pounded outside at the beach all night and it was super relaxing. The beach is 10 feet from the edge of the yard and it is absolutely beautiful. It was located near bars and breakfast places within walking distance on the beach or driving down the road.

Walk out of your room , onto white sand beach and into turquoise waters. Easy access to airport , restaurants, and water activities. Rooms are spacious with well-equipped kitchen. Fresh flowers and daily newspaper. Owners are great hosts, very helpful. They make you feel at home.

We could not asked for anything more. We had such a great time, lots of walkable things to do and the staff could not have been nicer. We would so come back and tell all our friends.

Wonderful location right on Simpson Bay. Beach right at your doorstep. Staff was warm and welcoming. Great having a full kitchen in the room so we can eat in some nights. Loved our stay! Would highly recommend.

A great budget hotel situated right at the beach in Simpson bay. Clean rooms, good cooking facilities, close to good restaurants and a very nice relax and bbq area outside where me and my friends did some hangouts with the other guests.

Excellent choice for the "get out"traveler. If I are resort traveler this is not for u. Full kitchen and 2 separate rooms. Excellent AC.

We loved this place, our own private beach, the friendliest most helpful staff, it feels like you are at your beach house. Just comfortable In the Carribean. We can't wait to go back.

This lovely place is like having your own island paradise. There is no TV and no pool. But this is the real thing. Lovely location, quite and peaceful. It was off season so I am sure thing pick up more in season. The place only has 7 rooms so it reminds you of a B & B, but with out the breakfast, but all units have kitchens. You really find some really great people that work here, and we met some great people from all over the world. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

My husband and I visited for a long weekend over the 4th of July. We stayed in room 8 and we loved our room, especially the full kitchen and balcony. The room has a wonderful cross breeze, which allowed us to keep the windows open the whole time. Cherry, the manager, was wonderful. She helped us with information about the island and was a very gracious host. The grounds are immaculate and the beach is beautiful. They provide lounge chairs, a hammock, a grill and a sitting area by the beach so there is plenty of space to relax. We are already planning a return trip to the this wonderful place!

Having just gotten back from this amazing hotel, i cant rate it high enough! More than the 3 stars it is rated on some sites. I stayed in room 6 by myself and the room was cleaned each day and i found no fault at all. What also make this hotel special is its location, 10 munites to Philipsburg and not much more to marigot, also with in an easy walking distance is local shops from a bakery to cafes to little food markets. This winner for this hotel has to be the staff who work here as nothing is to much trouble! Not to mention the pristine white beach that this hotel backs on too!

This is a relaxing and quiet beachfront property away from families and children. Each room is unique with its own home comforts. Waking up and walking out of your room onto the beach was the best part of the vacation. The staff was hospitable and you will not miss your television as there is no TV or radio in the rooms. This is truly a get-away-vacation with simple luxury.

The HornyToad was the highlight of our stay in St Martin. Betty and her staff keep this place spotless, and its very refreshing to stay here away from the resorts. This hotel really is home away from home!
