Lovely hotel, location and staff.However…SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISED AS HAVING A RESTAURANT OR BAR because Restuarant was closed and bar closed by 7.00pmWe would not have booked this hotel had we known

The Hotel room and service from the staff was top class. They arranged a transfer from the airport which was on time and prompt. The room was spacious, comfortable and well designed. Unfortunately due to Cvd issues and staffing the bar and rest was closed. Such a shame as it looks lovely and would have been very nice after a day sightseeing. Although assured it will be open fully sometime in May. However Pest Buda (sister hotel) down the road was open and was very nice. The free breakfast was a little underwhelming with only croissants juice and coffee offered. I’d have expected something more substantial. The Buda side to the city is a lot quieter than Pest. So take that into account with your preferences. 30min walk to Pest side. But I would highly recommend the hotel when fully open and functioning.

This hotel was amazing. The decor was so cute and charming. The room that we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. The high ceilings and furniture made it feel more like a home then a hotel. We loved the hospitality so much that we decided to book another night. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Plus the food at their restaurants was delicious. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out our desert with a firework

Excellent small boutique hotel in a very quiet area of the city. The restaurant is as good as the rooms.

Design was great and food was really good. Staff was either nice or abrupt. Was only given 4 coffee pods for 4 nights and 2 adults. Had to pay after that. Seemed cheap and we booked the biggest room. Also, the shuttle is very expensive and we were dismissed quickly when we asked about it because it was not with 24 hour notice.

The staff are all extremely polite and helpful and their English is great. The restaurant is brilliant - the food is amazing and we sat outside every night for dinner due to the quiet/pretty location.

We had high expectations going into our stay at the Baltazár Budapest, and those expectations were exceeded right from check-in. From the spacious layout of the room to the exceptional service (and food) in the restaurant to the location near Buda Castle, this property is spectacular. The location was the best part; located on a quiet street about 5 minutes walk from Buda Castle, 10 minutes walk from the Metro, and walking distance to many restaurants. You will not regret a stay at the Baltazár Budapest.

It's across from a beautiful historic church and square. The restaurant was very good -- regional and international dishes at reasonable prices. Very accommodating and friendly staff. We were very pleased with our choice of this hotel.

Amazing room in a great location if you’re keen on being on the Buda side of the river in the Castle District. Lovely space and well thought out Decor. Food in the restaurant is great. BUT... Cons for the hotel... some staff were great, others less so. Terribly frustrating and cheeky but if you sign for food in the restaurant to your room, they charge you in euros and give a terrible exchange rate - worst we saw (by at least 10%) in Budapest and no option given to pay in Forint. Not clear that ordering food to your room costs an extra 3,500fl but suppose expected. No price list for mini bar and exorbitantly priced. Small things and not material cost in grand scheme of things but huge irritation factor and terribly managed by staff when queried. Photos of the suite on hotels.com show a balcony but no balcony for the room so it’s misleading... not sure if hotel’s fault or hotel.com’ fault. If you’re paying a lot for a hotel, management should realise that the small things can really sway an experience. I can understand why this hotel gets away with a good rating because it is very well put together but 9+ out of ten is too much for me.

This little boutique hotel was amazing. The location was fantastic and the service impeccable. The restaurant is delicious, we ate there 3 times. The bartender was excellent and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Love love love!! My favorite hotel of the 6 I stayed in on our European tour.

We stayed for 4 nights and wpuld stay again. Staff are attentive amd helpful, there is a fantastic wee restaurant, the location is second to none, and the rooms (we stayed in a deluxe room for 3 nights and a suite for 1) are clean, welcoming, and cater for all your needs. We would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

Great Hotel. Small hipster place in Buda Castle old city. Tourists up there but plenty of great restaurants close by and it’s up at the top of the city so you can walk outside to get a view of the whole city. This is a great place to stay.

The property seemed good. Staff were helpful. But didn’t stay because they had overbooked. They did find us another hotel and took care of billing. Considering we’ve been on the road for a month and a half and this is the only screwed up reservation can’t complain too much!

Excellent hotel that could easily meet 5 stars when it comes to cleanliness, luxury and comfort.
