The lounge looked fresh, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Downside was the elevators. Even if there were 6 of them, it took forever to get one to our floor. Most people took the stairs. The room was as we expected, clean and functional. Downside was the pillows, only one type and quite high. The location is very central and practical, with a good variety of bakeries, cafes and pubs.

So I got this mail informing me that I’d better order breakfast if I wanted one. Took the time and followed the link and got a confirmation mail from the hotel: Your order has been confirmed Request received at: 11/8/2024 - 10:20 2 x Adult - From 12 years 190.00  DKK Total 190.00 DKK So at check in at the counter I said, that I ordered two breakfast. I was all ready to pay with my card in my hand. “No” he said, you haven’t. I showed him the confirmation mail and he got a bit confused .. walked away with my phone, got back to me and said I hadn’t ordered breakfast, “you’ve ordered TIME” he kept repeating this btw, “you’ve ordered TIME”. I was very confused .. we discussed this a bit but I could tell he was stuck with this “time” bit so I backed off. He was not very nice to me. Apparently this way of booking breakfast doesn’t work, you can follow the link and get a confirmation mail from the hotel but it doesn’t register, so quite pointless in my opinion.

Budget hotel

not possible to order breakfast through the website but possible to pay there. The berakfast was nothing special, would recommend to go somewere else. The room was small but enough for the use.

A good budget-friendly choice with excellent service. As long as your card is in the room's card slot, a set of lights will stay on in the room. (At least I couldn't find the off-switch, and there's not a lot of space where it could be hiding.) So, you cannot charge anything, or leave the heating on, while asleep - assuming you need some measure of darkness to sleep. The room was quite cold; the thermostat does not go above 23 degrees. The thermostat reading is questionable; it claimed it was 23 degrees, but I still needed a sweater inside the room.

The lobby and public spaces are elegant and modern, my room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was good.

Room a bit small but good central location and great value for money

Very bad customer treatment, and does not keep their word. What I was promised over the phone, they did not honor. Will steer away from this chain in the future.

Definately a great location and basic normal Danish breakfast that is served at all hotels. However the room is tiny the shower is not for heavy people either. Barely had room in my room for my suitcase on the floor. Definately not for couples or families, as a single it was OK. The location made up for everything.

Self serve. 2 starts hotel

It had so much potential, but just isn't maintained the way it should be. Bed sheets had multiple stains, shower temperature was workable but didn't at all match the dial - lots of trial and error. Toilet had issues. Breakfast had only a few meager options. I could go on. It got the job done but could have been much better.

WakeUP always provides, in line with what can be expected for this kind of a hotel. Front desk service is always great!

Nice property, nice staff, great location.

Very bare bones hotel that did not lend itself to good sleep. The pillow seemed very old. The bed didn’t include a top sheet, just a down quilt that became very, very hot. It made for poor sleeping conditions. The shower was tiny and not very clean.

The hotel rooms were small but had everything you need for a city break in them. They were clean, although they did not tell us that you had to request cleaning each day (it’s wrote on the card in the room and signs next to the lift but we clearly didn’t read these). The staff were very friendly and it was good that there was luggage storage for before and after your stay. We would come again.

In the heart of city center, this hotel is convenient, but the confort is poor.Simply ok for one night

The room was so small we could barely move around. One bed for two people, which is what we requested, but the person on the wall side had to climb over the other person to get up. The bathroom is basically a cordoned off area, very little privacy. Way overpriced. Book elsewhere.

Generally good

My flight was delayed and I called to inform front desk I would be arriving very late in the evening. They confirmed my reservation and said there would be no issue. Upon arrival a couple hours later, I was told there were no rooms because a pipe had burst and I had to be moved to another hotel for a night and a few minutes later informed it would be for entirety of my stay. I selected Wakeup primarily for location and substitute hotel was 20 minutes away and room overlooked the city train line with loud screeching on the tracks through the night. Staff was polite and appreciate the assistance in finding alternate accommodatio. Of course, things like these happen, but I was skeptical that a pipe just happened to burst in the 2-3 hours between their confirming the reservation and my arrival and thought it more likely that the hotel was overbooked or my room was given away because I had selected to pay at the property when booking.

I would rather you raise your room tariffs marginally and improve services than the way it is - everything is *minimalist* and most staff don’t seem to be motivated to offer even reasonably good customer service. I guess you’re capitalizing on your location and don’t really care about customer experience ! Never again !!

Easy check in, they will hold your bag before check in (for 2 danish krone). Short walk to Nyhavn and Broens street food market. Excellent location, clean room and bathroom, wifi, and tap water is safe to drink. Would highly recommend!

I would recommend it to budget travelers

The staff were not helpful, bedding is terrible and shower was broken, really bad curtains. They said there’s a bar but it was only a shop selling beer and wine. No bar!

Great location.

Fantastic place to stay in Copenhagen! Right in the center of the action. All key sites are walkable. Rooms are small, but not especially so. It was a bit noisy outside our room as it overlooked the kitchen service area. The bathroom and the sleeping area in the room were separated only by glass. The glass is mostly opaque, but it might be a bit awkward if you are traveling with someone other than your partner. This is common in the region, but should be noted. Lock boxes are available for baggage if you want to store your stuff before or after checkout. You will need a 20 DK coin to access the lock boxes, but can get this at the desk if need-be. The great staff also permitted us to check in early, but this can (obviously) not be guaranteed.
