Short stay, but loved the history of the building and the ease of check-in.

Great stay fresh out of history, creaky floors slanted hallways, felt like a haunted house with lots of friendly ghosts! Great hostess who was friendly and full of information and made fresh pumpkin muffins and burritos for breakfast. I cant wait to go back to stay in another turn of the century room!

Got in late , easy entry. Nice shower , very comfortable bed. Nice breakfast and conversation with proprietor. She text me after I left , showing me my watch charger I had left . And easily retrieved after our train ride , which is 5 minutes away.

I needed a last minute late night hotel close to Mount Bierstadt so I can claim it the next morning. This worked out perfect. I got up at 3:00 and there was coffee, tea and food in the breakfast area so I was able to get fueled up and ready for the climb. It was Great!

Great 1 night stay after visiting Georgetown. This property is super unique, charming and full of history. Great little B & B, will stay there again.

Beautiful! Love the food, atmosphere and cozy room. There is also a trail to hike up within walking distance. Leads to an old mine/mining area! The bed was very comfy. We stayed in room 6. Walking around the town was also very fun.

The historic hotel was a nice and quiet treat. Small lovely town and close to Georgetown making it an affordable stay. Homemade breakfast burritos were delicious. Coffee available too. Nice stay!

Place had charm and character...floors/stairs creeked, nicely decorated, nice TV, lobby, breakfast room to chat with other guests.

Met all my needs for the trip. I really enjoy supporting a local business owner, instead of a big corporation hotel chain.

free breakfast with homemade muffins & coffee

This hotel was so cute! The owner was very friendly and helpful. And the neighborhood was pretty.

This house has unbelievable character and Lauren was a very warm and welcoming host. Good vibes across the board

Very unique stay! Hotel is definitely old, but is well taken care of. All floors are very un-level, but that added to the character of the old building. Bed was soft, but we slept fine. Beautiful setting right in the mountains!

Loved my stay here, great vibes in this place. Stayed the night in a nice room in Blackhawk the next evening but enjoyed my 2 nights here even more. Felt like going back in time & made for a unique memorable experience. Definitely will return!

Stayed in the single bedroom. Everything was very simple and “homey”. Felt like I was staying at someone’s house. The bathroom is shared with others but I had no issues. The host made some delicious burritos for breakfast in the morning! Obviously it’s not a luxurious stay, but it is worth it if you are skiing and just want to be close to the mountain. Be prepared to have a plan for food as there aren’t many restaurants around.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Room was clean and inviting. Because it is a historic building, there is only one bathroom that services all guests on the second floor (you just need to be aware of that). Owner was a gracious host and we enjoyed visiting with her and other guests. Would definitely stay there again. It is a nice change from a standard hotel.

Is historically significant Hotel with a lot of charm. The service provided was incredible and the experience was one of a kind. It’s not a fancy hotel by any meats, but it will be a memorable night.

Our stay at Windsor was absolutely lovely. It's a 140 year old building so you should expect luxury. We would stay here over a new hotel any day though! The owner is super cool and chatted with us over breakfast. And by the way, the breakfast is much better (homemade) than most basic hotel breakfasts. The bathroom and shower room are both shared, but there are not too many guests so we didn't have a problem using them when we needed.
We had to share a full bed which was the only downside, but some of the 140 year old rooms are tiny so that's all that could fit! For one night it's not a big deal. We would absolutely stay here again for all the character this B&B provides!

Cute historical hotel. I never met the host, but they were very polite on the phone and the complimentary breakfast food was delicious! Will stay there again if I get the chance.

It's small, and inconvenient, but worth it to stay in a historic hotel the way people used to. The owner was there and helpful, and made very nice breakfast burritos.

This is such a cute place! The room is very comfortable, and the facility is well labeled and easy to navigate. It's been a very easy stay.

The listing did not make it clear there was a shared bathroom. It is less of a hotel and more of a B&B. The only active business in silver plume is a cannabis dispenser right next door

Quaint hotel and rooms. Definitely showed it's age. Walls are thin so definitely made use of the fan to drown out the noisy neighbor. Odd setup for the bathroom but kind of expected for this old of a hotel.
Nice, quiet lil town.

If you want authentic mining town atmosphere with a true mining town hotel? This is the place to stay at. It's a back to the future setting. My wife and I loved the place. It was great to be part of the not so run-of-the-mill hotel.

Reminiscent of my Grandparents home. I ♥️ the uniqueness. The hotel has a serious tilt, things shake and the floor boards squeak when you walk, but it’s very cool! And, the host has made it very homey. I do wish someone had been there to explain the characteristics of the hotel. I haven’t seen or heard anyone, maybe they’ll appear as ghosts tonight 😂

Such a great experience. They were super accomodating with easy check in late night. Check out was simple and easy and the hotel was fantastic. such charm and history! Cant wait to come back!

The host was awesome and the energy was amazing and quiet and peaceful while staying in a beautiful historic property that has kept its authenticity.

One, the front door code hasn't been changed in a long time per others.
Two, no locks on thin paned windows.
Three, room door could be broken into easily.
Three, no screens on windows.
Four, The floors are terribly uneven and sqeaky.
Five, No air conditioning.
Six, I could here everything.
Seven, there's no tv.
I could go on.
I was here to hike Grays and Torreys the next morning, but got about an hour of sleep. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The floors are very creaky, if you are a light sleeper take that into consideration. But lovely place! Very cool vibe.

Loved everything about this historic hotel. It’s not your typical hotel experience but as long as you expect that it’s a cool place to stay. Lots of cool old houses if you walk around town. I would book direct if you want to stay here - apparently there is an extra fee for Expedia bookings that I did not realize was not already included in the price’s fees until after my booking was complete. Overall paid $20 extra a night after multiple fees from this and normal taxes etc which made what a thought was a great deal more in line with the average prices of other nearby chain hotels.

Good value hotel. I like feeling like in old west when I stayed there.

If you’re looking for a posh, 5-star hotel, this is not that. It’s old and quirky. Everything is creaky and out of square. You park at the pot dispensary next door. You share a hallway bathroom with 6-7 other rooms. There’s no check-in counter. There are no restaurants in town (have to drive to Georgetown)
But if none of these are show-stoppers for you, the Windsor is pretty cool. Every question I had was answered almost instantly via text. There were fresh breakfast burritos and coffee awaiting every morning. The rooms were clean and functional. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with what you might need. The owner was friendly and helpful, the couple times we crossed paths. There were extra blankets, slippers, and other amenities available for you to use during your stay. The town is super cute, and there’s a cool trail up into the hills overlooking the town a couple blocks from the hotel. A couple friendly neighborhood dogs would greet me when a came and left.
It’s not for everyone, but if it’s for you, I imagine you’ll love it.

Had to find another place stay - wife did not feel safe as the padlock didn’t line up with the door sill and there were cracks in the wall, ceiling. There is a difference between “historic” and “I feel like I’m going to be murdered, this is so dilapidated”

While the hotel does have a certain charm, that charm ended at 2am on the first night of our stay. When the third floor denizens returned home at a late hour, we could hear every step they took, every word they uttered, and every squeak of the floorboards. It kept us up for over an an hour that night, and then again at 10pm on Sunday. Ultimately, a hotel is a place to sleep, and we had to buy ear plugs to try to get rest, though even that did not work.
Otherwise, the amenities were fine, though one toilet for 6 rooms is a bit of a stretch. The coffee and breakfast was quite good though.
Lastly, our room was not clean. We found a piece of plastic in the shag rug that must have been from a prior occupant, but when we lifted the bedskirt to look for a sock when leaving, I was horrified at what I could see underneath.

Makes you feel going back in time. Old house, but very functional and clean. Host very friendly and many small details are looked after.
I will come back in summer.
