Only half the lights in the room worked. I was there for 6 nights and on the last couple of days I saw a couple bugs.

The walls by the mirror in the bathroom had black stains TOP RIGHT side. Looked like mold

We had a very good stay, all the people that work there were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good (wish they had a more selection of begels or bacon too) but what we had was delicious. My husband and son had waffles, juice coffe sausage eggs yogurt. I has bagels and muffins and coffe and juice it was very good...thank you so much

The room was so dirty and there were dead bugs in the tub. After cleaning them up I turned on the water to shower and more bugs crawled out. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable.

Hotel room was tired. The bathroom had a peeling ceiling, mold in the grouting, the fan was broken and the towel shelves were dusty. We also has a wet spot on the carpet from the AC unit. It looked liked like the carpet was vacuumed but the edges were very dirty. The hallway carpet was dirty and not vacuumed the week we were there. This hotel was not bad, but could be better with some attention to detail.

The bathroom pictures had mildew on the bottom corners of a picture. The shower was absolutely filthy and stained. The smell of mildew walking in the room was very strong. Had a hard time breathing in the room throughout the night. Room 101 needs some attention.

We had to move rooms a few times due to mold being present in the bathrooms. The rooms weren’t super clean but clean enough to pass. It smelled a lot like humid or something wet that hasn’t been replaced. It was quiet and pleasant to sleep, but the cleanliness was not as expected.

The bathroom sink was not clean. I bought bathroom cleaner to clean the shower. Mold and mildew. Also on the ceiling in the shower area.

Just don’t feel the cleanest. We use to always go to this hotel but seems new management took over. You can tell by the difference in quality.

This property was nice in its day. Our first room was very hot. The a/c was running but not cooling. So we changed rooms. The new room was very cool, but when the fan kicked on, it sounded like we were taking off in a jet. Small price to pay for coolness though. Also, the lighting in both rooms needed attention. Light bulb missing from a bedside lamp in the first room. Bathroom light out in the second room.
Staff was very helpful with getting us a new room. Breakfast was good. And other than a few problems, our stay was ok. We may look elsewhere next time though. Price was a bit high for this.

First room we were put in I opened the door and was slapped in the face with the smell of cigarettes. Second room was straight mildew/mold smell. Pool was very cloudy and the lights in there didn’t work. The carpet in the halls were so stained and just dirty looking. I wouldn't stay here again.

Mold in restroom, previous guests undergarments on floor. Not to mention I evacuated Houston in an emergency situation with the recent hurricane Beryl. I tried to get a refund for the 2 nights I wasn’t going to stay they denied my request

The room was filthy. We found at least four insects. There was mold in the shower and it was dirty. Floors were distrusting. cobwebs hung from TV, ceiling, and ceiling fan was so dusty it looked like it was suede. There was unidentifiable sticky substance on night stand. There was hair in the sink. There was dirty tips behind the bed. I would not let my bare feet touch the floor.

No holder for toilet paper, bathroom door had hole. Looked like someone kicked hole in it. We reserved room for 4 people and pay for 4 people so when we check in there should be enough towels and toilet paper for 4 without me having to go ask for them. Will not be back.

When we checked in the desk clerk she was rude. She then gave me a key to a room and it was dirty, bed was not made , there was trash in can , dirty towels on top of the toilet . Room was not clean at all. My wife and I then went down stairs and told the clerk it was dirty . She gave me another key for a different room. My wife and I went upstairs for the second time and but the key didn't work. I went downstairs again and told the desk clerk the key didn’t work. She then gave me another key for a third different room. I went up for the third time. Room also look dirty .

Where do I start!! The staff was very nice and the AC and hot water worked so there is that. Now for the not so good part.
1st - multiple vehicles were broken into with windows busted out.
2nd - the carpet in the room and the bathroom floor was dirty and sticky, my feet were black from walking on them
3rd - the AC was leaking all down the wall and onto the carpet. The whole floor was wet by the closet and one of the beds which was giving off a mildew smell.
4th - the grounds and the inside is not maintained well at all.

There was mold in bathroom and cracks all over the ceiling. The bathroom vent was not working. The address took us to holiday inn not the correct place. Breakfast was ok. We switched rooms but still had little mold by the shower and big cracks .

It's always a nice quiet clean spot to go to in San Marcos, very good continental breakfast, coffee & lemon water is available all day. This hotel also offers an indoor pool as well as a gym. We don't have any complaints about this hotel, it has been great every time we have stayed.

Beds were not comfortable... Toilet was not working properly (kept clogging due to not having enough water)... AC unit was EXTREMELY noisy. Couldnt sleep because of that. Toilet wasn't set properly and it would move when you sat down...
Won't stay there EVER again...

A/C didn't work well in three rooms that we tried and various other issues. We alerted the staff and changed rooms three times to find one with an operating a/c. We mentioned the problems again at check out and they still were not resolved.

Good option for a short stay, rooms and linen are comfortable. Cleanliness could be better, service as well. Breakfast is not good.
