Over rated room , Walls not painted , Toilet was clogged, restaurant area is under construction, Hotel looks nothing like in the pictures. Should paint the walls from time to time . The only plus was the patio .

Love the room, the staff and the food at el sitio, this is surely a must go to when going to Venao

Nous sommes resté 4 nuit et avons adoré notre séjour. Les installations extérieures (transat, lits extérieur, terasses, hamac, etc) sont définitivement les hightlight car nous pouvons trouver un petit coin de paradis pour lire, relaxer, bronzer. Le restaurant est également intéressant, ils proposent un bon menu original, des délicieuses salades, de bons desserts et le bar également de bon drink. Le seul truc serait peut etre la taille des chambres, un peu minuscules et pas mériteraient une rénovation, les douches sont vieilles. Mais à part cela, nous avons adoré le séjour dans cet hotel clairement paradisiaque! À faire quand on recherche du calme, tout en ayant l'option de faore la fête dans le bar d'à côté.

Cleanliness and rustic flair. Excellent and very professional service provided by the hostess, (Mariana). The only drawback (not the hotel’s fault) is that a long portion of the main highway used to reach the destination needs vast. This added travel time as dodging became a nuisance.

Playa Vanao is a Surfer's dream with good surf but not too rough for the average swimmer. Hotel offers surf lessons, has nearby market and a few shops. It's quiet except for the electronic music they play all day into the night, grounds are clean and manicured beautifully with island like flowers, room and linens were clean and nice, hospitality and service is great with staff being very accommodating. Menu is simple with choices but something for everyone. My only complaint is the pool was not very clear. I mentioned it and staff got right on it, but just adding chlorine and sweeping it was not enough to make the water clear. Having owned a pool, it needs to be shocked with chemicals to clear the water which takes 2-3 hrs. of no one using the pool. I made the choice to not use the pool. Disappointing because a Hostel which charges $9/night down the beach offered a clear, clean pool. I would have rated it a 5 star had the pool been usable. The area is remote but that is what makes it a real get a way.

The property and staff are great. It is clean and well kept. The beach is beautiful. HOWEVER - The trek there is a challenge. The road there is VERY rough!

It was a beautiful resort, but the staff was kinda rude. We were total 8 people, 4 of us were staying in the hotel next door and 4 staying in this hotel. And when all 8 of us got together at the hotel, the staff freaked out on us and be like, youll need to pay if this many people are going to be here. We told them were not sleeping here just spending time together. But still staff was kinda rude and giving us ugly looks. So 8 of us went to the hotel (El sitio) next to this one where 4 of us were staying to get together and party. hotel staff there was friendly and welcoming and they had no issue of us partying there. Plus we use the Restaurant to eat and drink and spend money at the hotel, so overall its their loss for not letting us get together there.

Right on the beach this lovely hotel is perfect for a trip to Venao. Facilities are good, staff very friendly (and many speak English (if you need that ), rooms comfortable and clean and restaurant has excellent food.

El Sitiios location is fantastic right in the middle of the beach. The rooms are very large but can be pricey for what you get. The details are overlooked ( light bulbs out, very very worn towels). We booked in during the week as it can become a party town. The restaurant at the hotel has great food ( breakfast is overpriced) but also check out the pizza place next door is delicious as well as Coleals. Overall we would be back loved the atmosphere, the surfing and the beach, all of the staff were very very nice and helpful.

Nice hotel on a beautiful beach! My teenage son and I stayed for three nights. The front desk and restaurant staff was helpful and friendly. The employee working in the surf shop was not. He was dismissive to me and my son when we went in to rent a board. He was rude to my son when my son asked him questions in fluent Spanish and then in English. (he was not Panamanian). The room was very nice, large and clean. The only negative was that the bathroom offered no privacy, as the top of one wall was open to the room and the door was a dressing room type door. Finally, while I really liked this hotel overall, on Friday and Saturday night the bar had a DJ that played music until about 2:00 am. I could hear the base thumping from my room, with the doors and windows closed and the AC on. Not sure why they would make this choice when I expect that most guests would rather hear the sound of the surf and have peaceful sleep.

They need to tighten up on procedures. Additionally, I didn't enjoy my meals as there were dogs frockling and fighting and licking everyone as I attempted to eat. The neighborhood is very secluded so unless you want to surf and surf exclusively, there isn't much else to do. Lastly, the rooms have a "private" bathroom but there isn't a full door so you can hear everything if you are in the room.

A little bit isolated ( nearest town 30 mins drive ) but area is becoming very popular .Beautiful beach and setting .Hotel staff friendly and helpful .Food is very good especially the breakfast . Worth a visit .

Great time on very clean quiet beach. Hotel on the beach can hear the waves breaking while you eat.... just great!

Very small but boutique hotel right on the beach. Very quiet area. Great for a little romantic get a way.
