I find somebody hair in the bed cove, in another words the bed was not clean.

Check in was easy, the front desk was very nice and accommodating. Both my son and I had rooms for our respective families. When we got to the rooms on the 3rd floor, the keys did not work. A trip back down to the desk got my problem solved, but my son had to make two more trips to have the keys reprogrammed before they finally worked. The hotel is clean, but very musty, mildewy smelling. It took awhile in the rooms to get used to the smell. Breakfast was the normal fare. Check out on line was very easy.

Area around parking lot could have been picked up. Only negative thing I can say. Rest all perfect.

The parking situation at this property is terrible. Even at 2pm, the parking lot was almost completely full. Other hotels in the area weren’t this bad. People ended up parking in areas that weren’t actual parking spots, parking in the handicap without handicap placards/plates, parking in the fire lane, and blocking in other vehicles that were already parked. I ended up ordering in Pizza because I didn’t want to leave and lose my spot. The area was a bit sketchy and the exterior side doors were often propped open. The hallway smelled heavily of weed and the lobby had a weird smell that was like dirty mop water. The AC was very inconsistent, and the fan wouldn’t stay on even though I had it turned to “always on”. The room’s temp whiplashed from too hot to cold, making it hard to stay asleep. The walls are very thin and you hear EVERYTHING. Someone kept calling my room around midnight. I called the front desk but the audio didn’t work on my phone. I have no idea who was calling me But they kept waking up my 8 year old. I unplugged the phone from the wall. At 9:30 am, housekeeping knocked on my door and asked, “Aren’t you checking out?” I looked at my watch and responded, “Yes, but we still have some time left. I’m not going to be ready until closer to 11.” Her response was, “Ok”. She didn’t apologize for the intrusion and while I understand that the hotel was fully booked that night and she likely had a lot of rooms to turn over, it still felt rude and like I was being rushed.

Would recommend

Sofa’s paint was scarped off and looked crazy dirty. Toilet would not flush and ran all night and the walls were so thin you could hear when people left their room all night and heard the neighbors taking a shower and blowing their hair late in the morning (between3-5am) not their fault. Just a poor quality room

The only bad thing about this property is the parking, it’s always full

Location was convenient and price was reasonable. It is Gonzales after all so not a lot of options and top quality hotels available. We had an issue with one of our beds that would vibrate or shake at night. The room must have been above the boiler room. The pool could have been cleaner. Overall it was decent to stay but not for extended stay.

The sheet on the sofa bed was filthy. It was so gross. Some of the staff were great, others disappeared from the front desk and would not respond to the bell (I think she was outside smoking). The hotel smelled old. The keyvards only worked upside down. The breakfast was great, though.

La Quinta cancelled our reservations, not once but twice. They did call to tell us they were cancelled on Tuesday for our Friday night. Only to call us back and offered them back, which we did. Friday arrival with Ten people only to learn La Quinta Cancelled them again. Thankful a very nice Lady working that night was able to contact another motel in area and we were able to two rooms.

The hotel seemed it as fully booked. That being said the parking lot was full. I have a handicap placard and even those were taken by oilfield trucks that that DID NOT have handicap placards on the mirrors or license plates. I did find the LAST empty spot at the end of the hotel. This needs to be enforced.

We've stayed at two other hotels in Gonzales and decided to try La Quinta this time and were pleasantly surprised. The condition of the hotel is much better (the beds were comfortable), the breakfast was better, and the services was just as good. The parking lot was packed full with people having to park on the grass. I guess the word got out. My only complaint is that in the middle of the night I was woken up by the sound of the custodian's cart going down the hallway (my alarm was set for 6AM and it was well before it went off); it was loud enough to wake me and lasted long enough to keep me awake. I appreciate the work that goes on while we're asleep, but could you please find a quiet cart??

Property was nice and clean the night staff was hanging out and was not friendly.

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and never had a problem. The only minor ding is there luggage carts. First is there lack of them and then they are small that barely carry anything.

The property was good, but breakfast was poor. Coffee was cold and the breakfast options were few if any. Comfortable pillows, bed, and clean bathroom. Check in and check out was a breeze.
