The front desk staff and service in the breakfast area is very helpful in accommodating any request. While the pool could use some update, the maintenance staff do an excellent job with cleanliness and upkeep every morning.

We enjoyed a few days at Island Inn. Our room was spacious with a recliner sofa and table and chairs. We had a nice view from our balcony. The room could use some updates, but was clean.Breakfast was ok, the same each day which my husband enjoyed.
We would stay again.

I stayed in several different hotels and houses on the Island, but I found that Island Resort is the best for me. I enjoy window view round the day and the sunsets, the breeze and the salt water smell. Everything is close and I even always ride my bike to the ocean. Water pressure in the shower is great and water temperature can be easily controlled. Additionally to the kitchenette there is a microwave in the reception that the guests can use. The staff is very friendly. I stay now only in this hotel after I discovered it.

Fantastic stay! The room was very clean. The views are incredible. There is a hot tub on the third floor that overlooks the bay. It is breathtaking during sunset. We will be back.

Loved the breakfast every morning!!! The room was very clean! The view of the bay was pretty awesome! The staff was very friendly! We had an awesome time even though the weather wasn't the greatest! We would definitely go back!

We enjoyed the Island Resort and always like to stay there. We had a third floor room which had a beautiful view of the bay side, especially during sunset. The room was clean with comfortable furniture and loved having 2 sinks. The bed was adequate and a pillow topper would have made it just perfect but for a few nights, it's okay.

The gentleman who checked my family in, was so friendly. He also remembered me as I have stayed at this place twice before. We just love the view and everything so close by.

All the rooms have a view of the bay and daily sunsets. Indoor and outdoor pools were nice looking. The breakfast building was a diner like experience with indoor and outdoor covered porch seating and provided self service breakfast options: scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, coffee, and toaster options, etc. It was always clean, with a very attentive staff.

Pillows were old and flat, no protective covers under the pillow case. Not one of the better continental breakfasts at a hotel. Room had a balcony overlooking the water, which was nice. Nice deck on the water. Facilities were clean. Overall fine. Probably won't stay there again. Beds and pillows are important to me.

Perfect in every way with only one issue: the air conditioner was very loud at times and luckily, it was cool enough to sleep with the balcony door open which has a screen. It would not stop me from coming again, yet it was potentially annoying....

Room was right on the water with a balcony. Easily walkable to food and shops. The staff told us about a rocket launch we didn’t know was happening, which was very cool. Great continental breakfast. Only negatives were no movie channels and absolutely abysmal Wi-Fi. We struggled with no signal and terrible Wi-Fi the whole stay. Other than that, we loved it.

The room was clean. More drawer space was needed for clothes, more electric outlets were needed. The tub should have been anti-slip, and/or grab bars. The refrigerator was way too small. The breakfast certainly had lots of options to choose from.

Great place for a Chincoteague visit! Quiet, walkable to many restaurants, and a spectacular view. Room was very good and housekeeping attentive. The breakfast was above average and a great start to the day. Mgmt really seems to be on top of things to maintain this great place. Very happy with the stay and would highly recommend.

Loved hotel , location, amenities. Staff could not be more helpful and pleasant. Our only concern was our a/c was making loud noises intermittently that caused vibrations to be felt on the bed and furniture, and whistling sounds when it turned off. We reported twice but by the time we checked out it had not been addressed. I will still choose Island Resort as my first choice again.

The Island Resort gets you away from any corporate hotel feel and gives you a sense of the beauty of Chincoteague island. With rooms and a large dock situated right on a quiet canal, you have unobstructed views across Chincoteague Bay westward, and some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The continental breakfast is well-served and let us relax in the morning without having to travel, allowing us to sit along the water's edge and enjoy the mornings. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay on the island, the staff our very friendly and accommodating, and the pricing is very reasonable..

This property is absolutely beautiful and convenient to everything. Every room has a balcony and the sunsets were gorgeous. Staff was super friendly and the homemade complimentary breakfast was the best we have ever had. We would definitely like to come here again one day.

This was an amazing place. The views of the bay were amazing. We watched the birds, hike the boardwalk, and enjoyed the town. The place was clean. The breakfast was the best of our trip. The worker was refilling without interfering with us. I just wish we could have stayed longer.

The property is very nice and well kept. The staff very friendly. I did not like the styrofoam cups and plates and plastic utensils at breakfast. Management must be aware that these single-use plastics are terrible for the beautiful natural environment in which the property is located. Surely there must be better solutions.
