Recent rehab job, so the amenities were newish. My main problem was the temperature in the room was dictated by the hotel, who controlled how cool I could put the temperature at. I kept requesting a lower temperature and they never could get there, so I was often too warm at night. Very annoying.

The best thing was the location (one corner of the "horseshoe") provided good access to Trg Tomislav and Trg Jelacic, both by streetcar and walking. It's a pretty good hotel overall and worth coming back to.

On arrival, not the warmest of greetings from the guy on reception, but the ladies on duty the next day including housekeeper were friendly. We had a street facing room which was extremely noisy especially with the trams passing outside. The room was very hot too. We reported this to the guy at reception who said he would switch the air-con on but obviously did nothing as the room remained very uncomfortable for our stay, luckily it was only for 2 nights. The safe didn’t work. The outside of the fridge didn’t look very good so I didn’t open it. There was black soot on the ceiling above the air-con vent. The local area looked grim. Only fast food places were nearby, but the hotel was only about a 15 min walk from city centre.

When I entered the foyer for the first time - I was somewhat overwhelmed. There were quite a lot of young people around who were fairly rowdy. It did enter my head - what had I let myself in for? My fears were allayed however ... I stayed for two nights - excellent price for this accommodation. The room was clean and the shower was immaculate - as was the bed, linen and towels. The room was spacious also, and even though I was a few floors up from a main road - the noise didn't seem too intrusive. The lift could sometimes take a while to arrive. Although I never had my room cleaned (my choice), the House maids were very accommodating and polite. I enjoyed my two nights here - and would stay again.

The hotel is reasonably situated walking distance to all of the main sights in Zagreb. It was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and bathroom was nice and big. On overall it didn't seam 4 star hotel, more like 3 comparing to some other hotels I stayed in Zagreb.

The hotel is basic. Clean, helpful staff and central to most places in Zagreb. The staff was very helpful in assisting me with taxis etc. I did really like the Cambodian staff making breakfast. Nice people. Thanks, Greg

Unfortunately the property smelled really bad on entry, it was a pungent odour that made it very uncomfortable. We tried to stay out of the hotel as long as possible, we also used perfume to discuss the smell. We regret choosing the accomodation as the photo and information do not reflect the true product as you are getting. We could have stayed a a bigger more known Hotel , although now regret not doing it, as we ate breakfast and dinner elsewhere to escape the stench.

Hotel is located at a very noisy square with trams all night and cars. If you want to have an open window it is impossible. The hotel itself is not so bad....just insist NOT to have a room in the front otherwise I'll promise you that you won't sleep a bit....

Horrible hotel, please avoid! Carpets in the common areas and bedding in the room are threadbare. Lots of holes and stains on the bedding. The room was not clean with hairs everywhere. The walls are thin, you can hear everything from other rooms. The hotel is on a main road, you can hear traffic throughout the night. The most concerning thing was the amount of people coming and going into the early hours, it did not feel safe. This is not a respectable hotel and they allow all sorts of activities to go on at night. There's no concierge on reception at night. We were due to stay for three nights but checked out after one uncomfortable and sleepless night. The lady on reception agreed with our complaints but said there was nothing she could do about it. She said we could get a refund through hotels.com for the remaining two nights, However, the hotel later refused to issue a refund for the nights we hadn't stayed there.

Nice and comfortable stay. Hotel is near a nice botanical garden and within easy walking distance to many sight. Only one small thing, we had a room facing the street and that can get noisy with all the trams and people about. But overall it was good.

Great low cost hotel, I was especially pleased with the bed, pillows and shower. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great value - recommended

The hotel has bad smell in corridors and restaurant area. Our room had a very poor sound isolation of the door. We (2 1) could hear every step sound and every word coming from the corridor. The toilet bowl was leaking. Although this property was opened nine years ago, the general impression was that it is much older. IMHO the conditions in the hotel doesn't fit the price.

Arrived late from a long trip and was parked (space pre-booked) and in our rooms in no time. Breakfast buffet was ok but overpriced for what it was.

Property has on site pard parking, you have to reserve spot before your stay. Location is pretty good, downtown resturants and city square is in walking distance, Room was clean, comfortable and quiet.

Room and Bathroom were clean no refreshments in room for example water in fridge. Coffee tea making in room tv had bad reception picture . Staff were friendly. View from room had small windows 6 ft above bed and no pole to open them

Great clean, tidy, hotel + fantastic location close to the city centre. Breakfast was good but would be nice if they added baked beans to the menu. Staffs were friendly and excellent. Definitely booking Hotel Zagreb whenever I come back to the city.

We live in Zagreb and needed a hotel for 6 days because of renovations at our flat. We found the service to be great. We were totally disappointed as the room was very very basic. Not like in the pictures. Breakfast was fresh and had a great variety.
