Extremely comfortable stay. Check in was a breeze and we had the best nights sleep. In walking distance to the most beautiful beach and eating options. Definitely staying again

Warm room upon arrival Gisborne was windy & cold late evening arrival.

Can park outside the unit. Cleaning done daily if required and just ask friendly staff for restocking of any consumables. Sky TV especially if any sports events on.

Booked the saw view suite initially, then added two more nights. I thought I was booking the same room, but it was a different room - smaller and no view, and not as nice. Disappointed, but it isn't anyone's fault.

An excellent location close to the beach and the central city. Comfortable, friendly.
The generous bench in the bathroom is very convenient - much better than minimal or no bench.

Lovely receptionist. The room was cold, the aircon/heater didn't work. Only had a small heater which only heated half the room. Not enough towels, only had 2 for the family of 5 people that stayed the night. I paid $280 for a cold room with insufficient heating. Not much parking space either. Will not be staying here again.

This appears to be a family owned and operated motel. I am very pleased that I could support a local family rather than a larger corporate institution. My stay was acceptable for the price and I have no concerns or complaints. An exceptional friendly check-in, stay and check-out experience. Thank you for allowing me to stay for the week.

It was nice and tidy and not terribly expensive good staff etc..we felt disappointed it didnt have a seperate water facility that we could top the jug up from and get a glass of water and wash the dishes...without the need to use the bathroom sink for all these ..

Great location and unit. Had everything we needed. The unit had it's own driveway away from everyone else on the other side of reception. Felt nice and secluded. Very quiet and comfy bed.

Nice quiet area, over the road to a boardwalk along an extensive beautiful beach and bay. Our 2 bedroom Unit was spacey, clean, had all the extras, great kitchen even plunger coffee. And the best part was the privacy of the Unit.

I can't thank Waikanae Beach Hotel for the wonderful and comfortable stay I had at this property. Staff were kind and helpful including the housekeeping provided me with there warm comforts. I originally booked for 5 nights but added 2 extra nights that I needed while I was in Gisborne , Thank You all very much
