The room was great for the price (plus you can book only one night rather than a minimum of 2 everywhere else around Bright). Great food at the hotel too

We stayed in the newly renovated rooms , very comfortable... the dinner was filling and fun atmosphere. Staff very energetic and really did a good job Very interesting area as well If you step out of your normal hotel atmosphere this is a good option

Can not be more pleased with the Harrietville Hotel. The room was spacious, the food awesome and the bar first rate. All the staff friendly and accommodating. I shall return.

The owners of the place were so warming and inviting you felt like family. The rooms were clean and comfortable you could ask for top-ups, and nothing was too much trouble. The pub meals were fantastic and the atmosphere with live music was great. Overall, a very pleasant short stay and would definitely be staying there again.

Would be a great place for a one night stay. room only contains toaster and very small mini fridge. no plates, cutlery etc. when asked staff to borrow a champagne or wine glass was told no. staff yelled at kids for being unsupervised in pool even though they were supervised then coincidentally the pool was closed for maintenance the following day for the duration of our stay. Don't always expect to eat at the restaurant because if they are busy even though you are staying there you may not be able to get a meal. our friends staying in the room next to us had a mouse fall on their daughters head during the night, were allowed to move rooms but told they had to move back to original room and it may have been their fault for leaving the door open to have a mouse in their room

The staff were friendly, room size was large - plenty of space for a family, setting was pretty, lots of solar panels on roof, 2x Tesla charging stations for EVs, right next to a park and a short walk to bus to Mt Hotham. The pub had a pool table, darts, Coonara open fires and good pub food. Easygoing place with all the amenities - the pool looked good for a summer holiday too. There was also a large dining area outside that looked inviting and would be a great place to down a few on a sunny day.

Great location just down the mountain from the ski slopes. Large rooms which are well heated, there's a pool, pub and bistro in the complex. The food is standard pub fare and the pub has regular happy hours and live music. The motel rooms are not serviced until you leave so if you run out of anything you have to go begging for it. I was even invited to empty my own bins. It was snow season and we paid the same as a four or five star hotel in the city, but the service in the motel was no stars. The only place to get breakfast is a caravan serving coffee, toasties and sausage rolls. Or you can drive into Bright where there are cafes, restaurants and Woolworths. We had lots of noisy snowboarders partying through the first two nights but it was quiet when they left. Mt Hotham is about an hour's drive when it's snowing. You can hire all your gear across the road at Hoys. Not sure if we'd come back again because of the lack of cleaning. The room was not that clean especially under the beds, and the coffee cups hadn't been cleaned either. Great potential but disappointing.

Generally untidy exterior and interior needs a good clean/renovation to justify the tariff.

Spent a weekend in Harrietville and the motel was comfortable. The rooms were quite large, plenty of room. The TV was quite small, there was adequate team and coffee making facilities in the room. The hotel meals were excellent not sure about the breakfast though as we tried for breakfast but all they could provide was toast.

Overall a clean and pleasant experience. It helps being connected to the pub and restaurant. Would have benefitted from having some utensils in the room for coffee making (no spoons etc).
