Admirals Motor Inn is not a new building but it appears to have been recently refurbished. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and showed us to our room.
There are no lifts, just stairs as befitting the older style.
We had an upstairs 2 bedroom appartment which faced into the parking area.
It was clean, comfortable, roomy and perfect for us, with a room upstairs our grandchildren.
They were pretty stoked to have the upstairs bedroom. The bathroom was a good size and had a separate toilet.
The only thing is the shower is fixed to the wall, not a slide shower and it is a bit low for taller people.
The kitchen would be great if we were staying longer as it had a good sized kitchenette. Not just a jug on the bench.
We would be very happy to rebook for our next visit to Nelson.

Lovely and very clean looks newly painted. Hosts Frazier could not be more helpful and obliging, cleaning ladies were fantastic. All credit to their profession and personality. No wonder the motel is nearly always fully booked. Would recommend.

Customer service was great and so very informative about things to do and places to eat in the area. We even got a personal escort to our room. Rooms well appointed and comfortable and clean.

We had an amazing time The beds were super comfy and it’s very clean. We had the room overlooking the football field. The roof had a balcony attached which became my favourite spot.
The best part was meeting Fraser. He gave us a super warm welcome and made sure our stay was perfect in every way. While cooking I accidentally dropped and broke the microwave turntable but he replaced it within ten minutes and did not charge us anything extra at all. We are very grateful to him.
The motel is within walking distance to McDonald s and supermarkets and the sea front. Enjoyed our stay a lot. I'm very happy that we chose this motel. Will definitely come back.

Great motel. Lots of excellent tips from the owner re everything. Relationship with all visitors the very best. Helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Great laundry and facilities. Easy walking to centre of Nelson but also very easy driving access to everywhere.

The motel staff were amazing, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Everything was lovely and clean, beds were very comfy. The kids especially enjoyed having the sports field right there to kick a ball around, and we could watch them from the balcony. Thanks very much, we'll be back 👍😄
