Very nice and tidy motel. It may be bit old, but it is perfectly clean and well looked after. For our next visit to Ohakune, we will no hesitate to stay again in this place.

Friendly good value for money

We arrived late but no problem at all , very helpful. Perfect for a quick stay and extremely clean.

Staff was friendly but the facility is quite old. The bed are shorts and small for adults. Heating is good and the place is clean.

Property was easy to locate and was perfect for what we needed as a family, very much enjoyed our stay. Only comment is it would be good if the bunks had a bar on the top bunk to stop possible rollout for kids.

Property was well presented, room was clean and we liked that we could take our dog. The room was not cleaned daily unless by us, which we liked. The owner was very friendly and accommodating, however the computer system ended up overcharging us. To her credit, she had already offered us a discount to stay an additional night (we ended up leaving early due to mountain closure so never had the extra night). The main bed was rather small however the room wouldn't have had room for a larger bed.

Clean Tidy well maintained property. Only challenge for us was open side on stairs with a toddler.

I liked the size of the living room . I was really disappointed by the furniture, really old, dirty uncomfortable at all, nearly no sponge inside the 2 old sofas chairs and mattresses , we didn’t have a comfortable sleep. The bedrooms are so dark at night , I had to pull out the mattresses and put them downstairs in the living room so my kids can feel safe and sleep. The kitchen is so old and I tried so many times to open the drawers but they were totally stuck, so I had to use my own disposable cutleries that I brought with me! The house needs a full renovation in my opinion, we paid more than $200 per night unfortunately we didn’t expect to see such a poor level of accommodation.

Great option for families - lots of beds at a cheap price, and best of all there’s a free washing machine on site (not in the unit, but it was always available when I went past). Beds are comfortable. The shower door is so spotless I kept hitting it because I thought it was open! The kitchen has oven, stove top and microwave so it’s easy to cook all types of meals. (There’s also a BBQ on site.) After hours check in was easy and the managers were helpful and friendly. The only thing I didn’t like is the creakiness of the staircase and upstairs floor - you can hear the creaks of the neighbouring unit through the wall, so the stand alone chalets would be quieter than the joined ones. There’s not much landscaping so it’s not beautiful on the outside but it has everything you need inside.

We had booked the wrong date for our trip away and did not realize until we were checking in. The owners were so lovely and accommodated us even in their busy period. Great little motel in a great spot! Would recommend to everyone!

The stairs are lethal, 4 out of 5 off us fell down them. Beds creaking, floors creaking and toilet has no room. Plus side it was warm enough a good size kitchen for a small chalet

Great stay. Fantastic value, comfy beds, warm house with heat pump and even ski storage. A perfect base for a ski trip with friends! Owner was very friendly and house was very clean. Would recommend.

Great location and warm and cozy. Stairs were steep and no toilet by bedrooms upstairs but otherwise well equipped and comfortable.

We were very happy with the chalet. We arrived late, but were well served by the staff. Chalet was very clean and well equipped to serve a much larger group than we two.
