Very pleasant room with nice appointments: microwave, under counter fridge, single cup coffee maker, and a large tv, prominent recycling bin - some places don’t have those anywhere. It would have been nice to have a second chair, even a basic straight chair, because it was a chilly night. Easy walk to downtown, which was helpful. I had one of The Best Showers of the last several years. Hot, with excellent water pressure, and easy to use controls. This may seem basic but it truly was an exceptional shower!

Room size was great. Outdated, not enough places to hang clothing or coats. Little decor. Old outdated curtains.Bathroom floors outdated. Decorative lights on our building did not work. Only one nightstand and no updated plug ins for devices. Could do updates in room that would make a better customer experience.

We we're extremely impressed with how clean our room was. The entire Lodge gave off an "err" of being freshly cleaned & sanitized. We always check everything before we make our decision to as if we're comfortable staying someplace. The room had a bit of romantic charm to it. The staff was exceptional also exceedingly friendly & helpful. We woke up to a little surprise as it had snowed 🌨 all night. I was actually pleased to have our first ❄️ snow so early in the year. We would irrefutably recommend this place 🌞

The hotel was older but had more personality than the new modern hotels. The property was well maintained and beautifully landscaped. We were even welcomed by a deer passing by. The room was perfect for two people, had everything you would need for a night. The bed was comfortable. We had a very restful night.

The room itself was clean and tidy. My complaint is that the bed was very uncomfortable and the mattress was old and needed to be replaced. The refrigerator was great, Did not use the microwave. Enjoyed the pod coffeemaker. The only ice maker was in another building,.Also did not look anything like pictures. It was overpriced for what you got. Reviews were misleading.

Very comfortable and clean room, no problems with A/C or shower. I'm impressed that they enabled guest access accounts enabled on the Roku Tv.
Only thing missing for me was a small desk to work on, only a small nightstand adjacent to the bed.
Reasonable walkability to downtown although somewhat of an uphill climb.

We expected to be in a lodge and not in a motel kind of building. The furnishings were sparse, no table, no chairs, just one easy chair, even so the room was plenty big enough.
We had to wait twenty minutes for the receptionist to show up.
On the good side, the beds were clean and comfortable.

The Boxwood staff was amazingly friendly and extremely helpful. I was able to add on an extra day without any issues. All the staff I encountered were very nice. The room was clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay again when I come back this way.

Boxwood Lodge was a comfortable and quiet stay, with easy walking access to downtown Blowing Rock, which was our main interest. The rocking chairs on the porch were great for enjoying the nice weather. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The room and bathroom were in need of updating. We travel to Blowing Rock twice a year, and I will be sure to never stay here again

Very friendly and helpful staff. I checked in and my smoke detector was beeping. He replaced battery right away. He stuck around awhile to make sure all ok. Still had issues and ended up having to replace the detector. Everything else was great. Great location. Close enough to walk to shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed. My room faced the road but was not noisy.

This property was "Okay". I did not feel it was worth the money we paid for it. Advertising showed a different picture than what we got when we got there. Thanks Expedia but probably not again.

Air in the room was not very efficient. And no room service or cleaning was done on a 3 day stay had to go to the office to get towels and other needs
